Minim Asst in style but not in provision. Breakfast is superb, and can be eaten in or out. Outdoor area is not extensive but the pool is big, and the surroundings give plenty of shade. Culture of guests means that sunbeds become quickly available. Bedroom vey comfortable, with good air conditioning, plenty of hot water. Beds invite sleep. Bar and restaurant staff outstanding. Reception staff need drawing out to help! Ten minutes ( smelly) walk into town, which can be hot, but much better than staying in the town itself. Only criticism was that if you have a late train/ flight there is zero provision ( eg shower) to change other than a toilet. We were told we couldn’t keep the room but a sneaky check showed that the room hadn’t been made up at the time we left two hours later! But that didn’t mar the whole experience.
While this hotel has a good rate and some ok aspects to it (relatively clean room, convenient parking garage across the street), there are many issues with it otherwise. The receptionist wasn’t very friendly or helpful at the start… that didn’t bode well. I had to do a couple hours of work as soon as I got to my room and quickly realized that the WiFi signal didn’t reach my room - bear in mind I was only on the second floor of about six floors! So I couldn’t use the internet which, obviously, is pretty important for most work these days. I even tried to do some work with my computer just outside my room but the signal was poor even in the halls ways. And to make matters worse, the hallway smelled like cigarette smoke. Pretty sure this is a non-smoking hotel! So I decide to do my work in the lobby. I end up having dinner there and order a pasta dish. No joke, the top half of the pasta was warm and the bottom part was cold. Did they just throw it into a microwave? It was pretty disappointing. In terms of the room itself, it was spacious and the bed was comfortable enough but when I went to take a shower, not only would the water not drain properly - creating an ever-growing pool of water on the shower floor - but the temperature was all wonky. It went from slightly warm to searing hot… again, not ideal. I’m a pretty easy-going traveler and for this price, I shouldn’t really complain BUT this city did seem to have plenty of options in the price range so maybe it’s best to try another spot unless you have a good reason to want to stay in this particular location.

We stayed here for 1 night in June of 2022. The people working the front desk were very friendly and nice. Our rooms were okay - nothing great, nothing bad, just a nice place to sleep for a night. The good - there was an elevator. The bad - the A/C was working but not as cool as we are used to. I would have liked it to be a bit cooler. There was parking but it was first come first serve (about 10 spots). We checked in right away at about 4:00 and then kept our car there in the parking lot as we didn't want to lose the spot. We walked around the hotel a bit & it looked like on street parking was very full. So we were very glad to have our car parked and it was an added bonus that the hotel & parking was behind a gate you had to be let in to access. Made us feel very secure. There was a nice small grocery store within a block so we walked down & got some supplies we needed. That night we ate supper at the attached restaurant and were very happy with it. Again, the people working there were super nice and helpful. Their menu was in pictures and in English so that helped. Our son had cuddlefish and loved it. I had beef and although it was different than steak in the States, it was very good. We also had breakfast in the morning at the attached restaurant and it was also very nice. A very typical Spanish hotel breakfast - fruit, lunch meats, cheese and breads. All in all a great 1 night stay while we visited Tarragona.
We were in family for the nearby Port Aventura (12 minutes by car) for that sense well. The hotel is very comfortable and very comfortable, and it is very good to stay in the hotel. The hotel is very comfortable and very comfortable. The outdoor microwave that comes well to warm things doesn't work well (although they have checked it and say if) it is not, we agree with several customers in this. I suggest you change it. The hotel is very good and very careful, so I put two stars. And Ali the owner also well and service. The worst of the establishment is one of the owners that is in reception. Disgraceful, badly educated, edge. I stayed here for two weeks for a university program. As I was there for a while it's easiest to do a bulleted list of pros/cons: Pros: * Location: Directly on Plaça de la Font, so if you're someone who wants to be right next to restaurants, bars, clubs and shops this is for you; also close to the Cathedral, the old town and the Roman ruins (amphitheater, circus, forum); a short walk from Platja del Miracle, a clean, lifeguarded beach where I was always able to find good space no matter the day or time. * I had a double room at the back of the property, whose window faced onto another flat but with a small terrace between us. Thus it was quiet and got direct sunlight most of the day. The room had an AC unit that cooled the room quickly, and also had decent shelf and hanger space given the room size (small, but that's typical of European hotel rooms, especially in old buildings). * The room was cleaned every day—towels changed every day, sheets changed every few days. Post-COVID I've come to expect the opposite—that hotel rooms will only be cleaned once a week or upon request—so that was a pleasant surprise. The cleaning staff were also very friendly and helpful. Cons: * Automated check-in—by far the biggest con. The hostel didn't send our trip coordinator, who wasn't in-country, the access code to the front door, though it was supposed to have been sent 24h before. So I arrived, the first in my group to get there, not realizing this would be needed. Eventually after waiting outside for some time another guest happened to be going inside, and let me in. The machine was wonky at first but eventually worked, at least for me; other guests checking in at the same time as the later arrivals in my group, however, had worse luck, and I'm not sure if they were ever able to reach a Forum rep to access their rooms. * No on-site staff, poorly-manned hostel phone line—we had a situation in our group later that week where a group member forgot their key in their room on their way to dinner, and ended up having to sleep in the small lobby area overnight as nobody from the Forum number provided was picking up the phone. The pin number the automated machine was requesting in order to issue a new key had never been sent to our group coordinator either, hence why the group member was never able to get a new key issued from the machine. * Other people in my university group had single rooms in the center of the property. Thus they did not ever have direct sunlight; their rooms either faced a wall or a disused lift shaft at the center of the property. This is just something for people to be aware of when they're making the bookings; the room photos on the site are not representative of most of the rooms of the property. * Accessibility: there is no lift/elevator, and it is a four-story property with steep flights of stairs between floors. If anyone in your party is disabled or otherwise has mobility or fitness issues, or if you simply have a lot of luggage,

A year later, and I'm back for about ten days, and everything I wrote in my review a year ago remains true. I'm very fond of Tarragona, but much of my affection is because of the Lauria. I have stayed in the hotel section twice and the apartments section four or five times in the past several years, and still I marvel at the combination of location, value, quality of accommodations, and most of the all the staff: from management to reception to housekeeping to ”breakfast supervisors,” these folks do a really great job, courteously, professionally. (I am baffled by the couple of reviewers who felt otherwise, and encourage TA readers to look at the pattern of reviews rather than the outliers. Love it, again, still.
I’m not familiar with Tarragona city for the first time. I booked this hotel on Ctrip. It is about 3~4 kilometers away from the city and 500 meters away from the hotel. There are buses, either No. 6 or No. 54. You can get to the city from 5 to 8 stations, and the distance to the attractions is also very convenient. The hotel’s breakfast is delicious, the rooms are large, and the environment is really good. If you go in summer, the hotel also has a swimming pool. The price is very high. , Shopping is very convenient, the price is affordable, and I will stay here next time. The city of Tarragona is beautiful and it is worth visiting. It is a very historic city!

Mediterranean Balcony
天天生哥The beautiful Irta Mountains stand tall, overlooking the city, fresh fish and shrimp are served daily, and all kinds of delicious food are waiting for tourists to taste in the restaurant. It is the best place for family leisure and vacation. It is a place for photography lovers to yearn for.
Catedral Basilica Metropolitana Primada de Tarragona
KkhccThe Tarragona Cathedral is located in the old town and is almost the highest in the old town. From the outside, it is really a bit old, but when you know it is a 12th century building, it is really not simple to know that it is more than 700 years old.
Roman Amphitheatre of Tarragona
KkhccThe Roman amphitheatre, facing the Mediterranean, already has a very beautiful view. The theater is just a site, many places have collapsed, and there is not much to see. If you don't want to pay for the ticket, you can see the whole building from a height on the periphery. Pay the entrance fee of 3.30 Euro and you can go to the middle of the theater to visit. Anyway, it is not expensive, I paid it and walked around from top to bottom.
Circo romanos (MHT)
KkhccThis is not a venue for circus performances, but for horse-drawn carriages by the ancient Romans. Visitors can walk directly to the site after visiting the museum, which contains detailed instructions on the way and rules of the game, narrated in several countries, but take time to see.
Acueducto de les Ferreres o 'Pont del Diable' (MHT)
稻稻草人cyqThe Tarragona Canal, located in the old town of Tarragona, is the second largest artificial canal in Spain, built in the ancient Roman period, with a long history, double-layer Roman arch structure, is a world historical and cultural heritage.
National Archaeological Museum of Tarragona
KkhccThe museum director is located at the entrance of the old town. It is actually a building of the ancient Roman Empire. It is basically a ruin. The ticket is 3.30 euros. Inside, you can see the city wall and underground passage, and there are also films to restore the renderings at the time. The price is not expensive, you can really consider visiting.
