Maybe I have never lived in a foreign hotel, which is a bit rare.
The room does not have disposable items, such as toothbrushes, combs, small toothpaste, slippers, and a small piece of soap and body soap. There are floor towels, bath towels, towels, and hair dryers. The overall area of the room type is OK, but there is a lot of invalid space. There are rocking chairs and two sofas, no balcony, floor-to-ceiling windows are large but the window is a building and there is no view. The room is also equipped with a safe and minibar. Remind friends that the power socket is European standard, so prepare the conversion head in advance or find the hotel. It is recommended to bring your own, domestic brand, bull, convenient and easy to use. The product is as follows. For example, the vacation or stay for a long time, it is recommended to prepare a plug-in board for your own use. The front desk brother is very good, can use English to do simple communication with you, help me solve many problems. Everyone must be mentally prepared, the locals are Portuguese, and some service industry personnel can speak English.

The people in the room upstairs were running around. The people in the next room were noisy. The room itself was great but noise insulation should be better. There were no elevators or ramps to get heavy bags up and down. Breakfast was great. All around the food was great. Local grilled fish for lunch was fantastic. Hotel staff were pretty good though sometimes did not give their full attention. The pool area was a feature. Very handy location.

This hotel is absolutely beautiful. The rooms are spacious, clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. The location is amazing and the staff were spectacular. Look forward to returning.
Positives: - you are directly in the Plateau of the capital, the location is as much central as possible. Taking this into account, it wasn't noisy at all - we had a room with windows facing the other side, so can't say for the other rooms facing the Plateau itself. - the hotel looks quite small from the street but the rooms are much bigger than expected. You will notice that the hotel is comparatively new, with modern furniture and equipment. - the same goes for cleanliness. You just feel comfortable. Negatives: - staff at the reception could be a bit more helpful. Unlike some other reviewers, I didn't have a feeling they were uninterested, but just not informed and knowledgeable enough; maybe a language barrier was an issue as well. E.g. I needed a post office and had to google it for myself since they had no idea.
Praia Maria is an old school renovated in a hotel with careful decoration. It feels like at home. White walls, lack of wooden furniture and mirrors give the hotel a crazy charm. Praia Maria offers all the comforts (private bathrooms, hot water, wifi, air conditioning...) and is located in the heart of the Plateau, in the pedestrian street of July 5, in the heart of the shops and a few hundred meters from the market of Sucupira d'où The hotel is located in the heart of the city, and the hotel is located in the heart of the city. The price-quality ratio was unbattable for the Plateau!

The hotel is very clean and well equipped for the price. Negative points: The hotel is located outside Praia, which requires taking a taxi every time to go to town or visit something. The breakfast is more than a limit, it doesn't deserve a 4-star, there were just 3 pieces of fruit (which did not very much like), small breads, no cooking or butter, soluble coffee. The hotel is a very nice hotel, and it is a very nice hotel. According to the noises we heard, they entered the room next to ours in order to cambriolar, then they descended from a floor and we heard very violent alterations with many people who cried, Then we were not in safety. The next day we asked the reception what happened, the lady tried to disrupt the case. We still decide to leave the hotel for our safety.

Good hotel to hold your business event, such as a training course or workshop. The hotel is clean and the staff really do go the extra mile to help you and make it work. There are basic beaches close by, and some fun restaurants, but its not the most picturesque spot for a holiday hotel. However as a business event I would certainly choose it again.
GGuest UserWe have stayed at this hotel several times after coming to Cape Verde for 17 years, the first time being when it first opened. We have always been totally satisfied with it but felt disappointed this time. We stayed for 2 nights at the start of our holiday before going to another island and 1 night at the end of our holiday. In the first room we couldn't change channels on the tv because it had moved within the wooden frame so the remote couldn't find the signal. The beds weren't very comfy, felt old and tired, there was no plug for the kettle, we had to either unplug the fridge or put the kettle on the floor by the window. When we went for breakfast the staff member was very unfriendly and there was no one to make fresh eggs. We asked if there was any fresh bread & she just said no. The coffee was lukewarm. The pool and pool area were good but we had to wait ages for staff at the bar to get a drink and to get a towel for the loungers. During our last stay before flying home we were relaxing by the pool, again waiting for a drink, and a loud group arrived, singing, dancing & drinking (the staff had arrived by this time) and being very loud. They weren't aggressive but we felt very uncomfortable and decided to leave. Such a shame as we have always enjoyed our previous stays but we both said we wouldn't stay there again in future.
AAnonymous UserConsidering the accommodation fee, it was good that the food was delicious more than I had imagined. The location is adjacent to the public beach, but it's a pity that it's not on the hotel grounds. There is no particular hospitality, but I think it's like this because it's not Asia or Europe.
