I love this hotel! The room is so atmospheric, with large windows connecting you with the beautiful scenery outside. On a foggy day, you cannot see any of the terraces and there's not much to do outside, but the room is at its most magical in the fog... the view looks like a famous Japanese screen of 'pine in mist'... or a Song dynasty painting. Incredibly beautiful.... I wish I spent more time in the room! The location of the hotel is perfect for those who want to see the sunrise over Duoyishu, since you can view it on the roof or, if you want to go to the best viewing platform that's only about a 10 minute walk away. The hotel is also semi-walking distance to Azheke Village, which is 45-60 minutes by walking on the ring road. Every morning the hotel serve rice noodle soup using local red rice.... it's quite nourishing to start a day of hiking. Oh, and the boss is really friendly and helpful. He seems to only speak Chinese, but I think he will go out of his way to be helpful if you dont speak Chinese. He makes great recommendations and even seems to be good at forecasting the weather to help you plan your trip. He definitel 'knows the hills.'

Xiangdian B&B is the one I would like to recommend to my friends the most among all the B&Bs I have stayed in. The design of the B&B is very stylish, the view from the window is beautiful, the room is spacious, the bedding is comfortable, especially with floor heating, which is especially comfortable in winter. I had several meals in the B&B, all of which were very delicious and reasonably priced. The Western food for breakfast was delicious. It was a very satisfying experience.

advantage:
The environment is good, clean and comfortable, and the neighborhood is quite quiet. However, the sound insulation of the door is a bit poor, and sounds can be heard from the corridor.
There is an independent balcony and there is no light pollution nearby at night. If the weather is good, you can probably take pictures of the stars.
Breakfast is one serving per person. If you don't have enough eggs and corn, you can add more. It's quite rich.
You can order food to be delivered to the room, and the taste is still good.

There was not enough hot water during peak water hours. Even when I took a shower in mid-May, I even turned it to the hottest setting and it was so cold that I shivered.
Doors and windows must be closed when entering or exiting, otherwise flies may fly in.
Food was delivered to the room. It took an hour from ordering to eating, which was too slow.

During the Chinese New Year, a room costs more than 600 yuan, which is a bit expensive, but overall it is ok. If you come during normal times, it is still recommended. The downstairs is lively and it is also close to Duoyishu. The hot water is very hot. Parking is a bit difficult. The room is too dark. The air conditioning is ok. I was in a hurry to watch the sunrise in the morning and didn't have breakfast. I don't know how the breakfast was.

I am very satisfied to stay at this price during the Spring Festival. The room is large and the facilities are complete. I also really like the decoration style.
Breakfast is also very local red rice noodles, which tastes good!
Dissatisfied: The service is slightly lacking, such as check-in reception and room arrangement differences, but it was resolved after communication.
Also, the floor-to-ceiling glass windows were too dirty and I couldn't see the outside scenery clearly.

Having stayed in so many hotels and B&Bs, this one can really be called a treasure niche ceiling! The navigation provided by the B&B housekeeper is accurate. She will drive a small tram to the parking lot to pick up and drop off luggage. On the way to the B&B, you will pass through the entire village. The people are less simple than Azheke. You can watch the little ducks crossing the river on the country road. . The most amazing thing is that the location of the B&B is simply perfect! ! Sitting on the entire terraced field, the room has seamless floor-to-ceiling windows, and the interior is modern and simple, with tea sets, straw hats, straw baskets and various props. You can also take photos in Hani clothes for free. The food in the restaurant is delicious, and you can eat a whole bowl of red rice! What Duoyishu looks at is the overall grandeur, then here is a secret adventure where you can go directly to the ridge of the fields. In the evening, the housekeeper will take us on foot to the observation deck of the village to watch the sunset. The sparkling waves can be seen. We can book the entire private treasure spot at the sunset by ourselves. We don’t have to compete with anyone for a seat. This is simply the highlight of our trip to Yuanyang Rice Terraces! You can also watch the stars on the terrace in the evening, the sea of clouds in the morning, make tea around the stove in the afternoon, weave Hani auspicious hand ropes, copy sutras in a daze, and drink tea under the trees. Yiqiutian Inn was newly opened in August last year. The facilities are very modern and the decoration is also good. It is especially clean and hygienic. The proprietress and the boss are very enthusiastic and responsible. They helped us upgrade the view room so that we can see the terraced fields outside from the room. They came and went to help us carry our suitcases upstairs. When we left, they also enthusiastically gave us red rice. They responded to our needs in a timely manner and provided relevant information about going out to see the terraced fields, which saved us from unnecessary detours. It was a very good stay experience. The Yuanyang Terraces are really beautiful and this trip is very worthwhile. Thanks to the boss and the proprietress for their enthusiastic service. The dishes cooked by the proprietress are also very tasty.

GGuest UserThis cute no-thrill place is run by a lovely young Chinese couple; they are very charming and super helpful (offered free sunset sightseeing trip, organised very good value trip to Kunming airport).
The room I stayed in was nice, overlooking the rice fields and with a huge bathroom. For the cool nights, there is a cozy electric blanket.
The rooftop offers great views on the Duoyishu Terraces, and there is even a small restaurant where the owners will cook some delicious food for you.
The hotel is located at the bottom of the very typical Pugao village where you will experience the real villagers life and come across water Buffalos.
NB : The Duoyishu Terraces Scenic Spot (多依树梯田景区) is only 10/12 minutes walk from the hotel.

GGuest UserIt was already half past three when we arrived. We were hungry. The landlady asked us if we had eaten. It happened to be the Dragon Sacrifice Festival of the local Hani people. I didn’t expect to have a sumptuous and delicious local banquet. It was such a surprise. .
The landlady was very talkative, haha, and she told us this and that with great enthusiasm, which made us feel at home😆😆.
We were going to watch the sunset in the evening of the day we went there. By coincidence, as soon as we arrived at the observation deck and took two photos, a heavy fog swept up within two minutes. We couldn't see anything. It was still foggy until we left the next day. It’s not gone, Wei Wei feels a little regretful. But this experience here is really great. I will definitely come back next time!
As for the other facilities of the B&B, I have no faults. The hygiene and bed comfort are both very good!

A good stay experience starts with cleanliness, all the bedding, and a comfortable sleeping space that I am very satisfied with. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, or exploring the charm of national culture, I am very satisfied with this B&B next to Hani Rice Terraces! By the way, the innkeeper is a beautiful lady, hahaha, we drink tea and chat together like friends, and she also enthusiastically gives us a reference route for our itinerary!

FFeiyang13Tonight, stay at the Mushroom House B&B with Hani ethnic characteristics. Mushroom house, as the name suggests, is a house shaped like a mushroom. Its wall base is made of stones or bricks, with half a meter above and below the ground. On top of it, plywood is used to pound the earth into sections and move it up to form a wall. Finally, the roof is covered with multiple thatches to form four slopes. The boss is a handsome young man who will come to the parking lot to help carry luggage. His food is delicious and not expensive. We order a la carte here for every meal. There is an observation deck just 100 meters away from the B&B, where you can watch the sunrise. Red rice noodles for breakfast, 10 yuan/bowl

JJamesHarrisThis was a really unexpected find in the villages around the Yuanyang rice terraces. The building itself is really beautiful and directing overlooks the terraces. The room was surprisingly large and the floor to ceiling window offers a great view(weather permitting). The bed was super comfortable and shower hot and powerful. The best part was the sister who works here; she couldn’t have been more helpful, even walking us to the nearby village to find a place to eat. She is enthusiastic and very knowledgeable about the area. The only downside(and I know it’s a bit of a sensitive issue) is the lack of air conditioning in the room. Even at the end of June it isn’t hot around Yuanyang, but it is very humid and air conditioning could definitely help with the latter. That being said, I slept well with the window open and would definitely recommend and stay here again.

GGuest UserThe inn is very close to the observation deck. We set out at 7:10 and only took a few minutes to walk there. It was still dark at that time. After watching the sunrise, we returned to the inn for breakfast at 9 o'clock. The room was spacious and clean, and you could see a small part of the scenery in the scenic area from the room. The boss and his wife were very enthusiastic. Next time I come, I will stay here again.

The location of the inn is close to the sunrise viewing platform. It can be reached in about 10 minutes on foot. It is more convenient and successfully avoids the traffic jam, especially on holidays. The conditions of the inn are average, but very clean. The innkeeper is very good. We took the children to hike. The boss helped us recommend the route and took us through the most easy to get wrong. Although the whole hiking process was a little regrettable, the family was very happy and satisfied. Let's talk about the boss's craftsmanship. The meal is really good, and the portion is sufficient. We have 3 large, 2 small, three dishes and one soup. In short, the two children are full of praise.

LLezaiyuzhiMaybe because it was the off-season, there was no one at the counter when we arrived in the afternoon, so we had to go back to the car and wait because of the rain. It wasn't until a little brother came back that he went upstairs and asked someone to check in. The room is average, but it is still clean, the hot water is not hot, fortunately it is summer now. The restaurant downstairs is closed, so it is inconvenient to eat. You have to drive to a nearby restaurant to eat. I don't know how the breakfast is, because the restaurant is not open, but an old lady should be the mother of the boss! They said they could cook it for me, but it didn't work for me. Generally speaking, I feel that it is not in business and I do not recommend staying here unless it reopens, but there is no elevator, and it is inconvenient to have a lot of luggage. The parking space is at the door, so you can park 3~4 cars!

JJennifer in ChinaPretty much next to the terraces! The view from my room was amazing, especially sunrise, could clearly see it from my room or could go to the outside area to see. Therefore didn’t have to go to the overcrowded viewing platform at the crack of dawn. Room is comfy, heater and towels provided but not really much else, so paying really for the view. Shower powerful and warm but no toiletries provided. Says restaurant on description but in fact doesn’t have one, has a couple of tables where the owner can warm up dumplings or baozi, however the owner is very nice and took me to see his friend which is only a short walk away who had a kitchen and could cook different meals at good prices. The owner helped me carry my luggage down, and it was pretty heavy, and then helped me to arrange someone to bring it up at the end of my stay. I would recommend not bring too much with you as it’s about an 8-10 min walk from the nearest car park, with quite a few steps or uneven paths but like I said, can arrange someone to help with any heavy luggage. Also it is in a little village surrounded by nature so bear in mind, you are going to hear things like the chickens and the wind. Owner speaks great English, always there to answer questions and help.

2202***65This is the second time I have come to Yuanyang Terraces. The overall viewing is good, especially the two attractions of Duoyishu and Tiger Mou. The downside is that there is smoke, especially Bada. The smoke is large. The villagers are burning and panicking, which affects the shooting effect. The health of Lukou Village needs to be improved, and it is too far from Azheke.

Azheke Village
水水漫三楼Azheke Ancient Village Scenic Area is one of the core Hani terraced villages in Yuanyang.
