RRamonjaThe owner is very friendly and was easy to communicate with (via translate app). We got a great room with private bathroom. Whilst the bed is a bit hard en the toilet off the squad type, that is to be expected in this part of Asia. We had a great stay here as it was just a short walk from the lively old town centre. Would definitely recommend this place to other western traveler’s. The other guests were welcoming to us and some spoke some English with us.
Oh there is free drinking water from the ancient well, hot water and the owner shared a lot off fresh fruit with us.

The boss was very enthusiastic and cheerful. He was an open-minded person. He arrived early and welcomed me. He upgraded me to a king-size bed room in the old house and recommended many delicious local restaurants.
The location of the B&B is superb. Many scenic spots are within walking distance. Once you open the door of the B&B, you will see a different world. It is very beautiful. It is obviously decorated and designed with care. The lighting is also great.
The room is really good value for money! Neatness and cleanliness are the basics. The key point is that the bathroom takes care of the hygiene habits of different ethnic groups. This is not considered by most five-star hotels in China, let alone B&Bs. It is so considerate!
This is my first time staying in a B&B and I haven’t even left yet. I want to come back next time. It’s really great. It’s also the first time I recommend it so highly! I hope everyone will come to Jianshui. It’s really delicious and fun to stay here. Comfortable!

The place was very easy and convenient to find once out of the minibus from Xinje.
Sam is a great host who helped a lot with what to do around and how to get around. I really appreciated the room as well as the excellent food served at the restaurant ! Sam speaks great English which is appreciated !

Location -- this is the main reason I choose the place. The rice terrace is in front of your room. Superb. There is rooftop to see sunrise too However, the place is not accessible for car. You need to park your car at car park around 300m from the hotel, call the hotel to pick up your luggage and you walk to the hotel by foot. It's not suitable for people with walking difficulties.
Service'-- toiletries are generous. Breakfast is great with various options. Rooms are cleaned daily with new top up of toiletries and slippers. We can do laundry too. Detergent are provided.
Why I give amenities 2 stars only? It's because I meed somewhere to give feedback on the room. I stayed for 3 nights at 2nd floor. There are 3 rooms of the same kind. However, my room has weird design. While the other two have perfect squarie room and spacious, our room, at thr most corner is smaller with bad design. There are wall built to cut off a space around 2x3 m. See pictures. It”s hard to put our luggage. There is sofa without tables. I suspect no space to add a table as it will block to walk way, not so confortable.

Lovely “hotel” with hospitable hosts, providing typically Chinese breakfast of rice porridge and condiments, tasty soup rice noodles, steamed bread buns, sweet potatoes, etc
You also get a simple lunch of Chinese porridge n condiments, and some cooked veg items n meat. And also an afternoon tea which we missed.
It’s sort of a pottery studio too and guests are also invited to have Chinese tea there. Well decorated with lovely plants all around.
Only drawback is the toilet in the room which does not have a door.
However, overall a good stay.

AAaron CedricI love this hotel! The room is so atmospheric, with large windows connecting you with the beautiful scenery outside. On a foggy day, you cannot see any of the terraces and there's not much to do outside, but the room is at its most magical in the fog... the view looks like a famous Japanese screen of 'pine in mist'... or a Song dynasty painting. Incredibly beautiful.... I wish I spent more time in the room! The location of the hotel is perfect for those who want to see the sunrise over Duoyishu, since you can view it on the roof or, if you want to go to the best viewing platform that's only about a 10 minute walk away. The hotel is also semi-walking distance to Azheke Village, which is 45-60 minutes by walking on the ring road. Every morning the hotel serve rice noodle soup using local red rice.... it's quite nourishing to start a day of hiking. Oh, and the boss is really friendly and helpful. He seems to only speak Chinese, but I think he will go out of his way to be helpful if you dont speak Chinese. He makes great recommendations and even seems to be good at forecasting the weather to help you plan your trip. He definitel 'knows the hills.'

[Location] It is near the Hani Town in Bada Scenic Area
[Overview] The whole hillside is this hotel. Walk down along a zigzag winding road on the side of the road. The small villas along the road are the guest rooms. The hotel lobby is at the bottom of the zigzag. It takes more than ten minutes to walk along the whole zigzag road, but there are wooden plank stairs that can go slightly straight without taking the winding road.
[Dining] The restaurant is 1/3 of the zigzag road. It is not delicious. The rice field fish is fried first and then boiled. It is average. The tree flower scrambled eggs are tasteless.
[Surrounding attractions] Exit from the top of the zigzag, turn right and walk for ten minutes to the Jingkou Observation Deck. Turn left to the Hani Terraced Fields Museum, which is farther away. It is recommended to drive. Continue walking down at the bottom of the zigzag to reach the Jingkou Folk Village.

GGuest UserThe hotel is in a very good location, just a few minutes' walk from Huquan Ecological Park. There are many gourmet restaurants around, making it very convenient for dining and traveling. The hotel lobby is very elegant, and the swimming pool on the first floor satisfies children's desire to swim. We booked a room with a swimming pool for 2 nights and took a red wine bath. It was a great experience. The room was neat and clean, and it was very peaceful to sleep at night. The lady at the front desk was very nice.

BBabe_RosalieIt was a very satisfying experience. The location of the B&B is really excellent. You can see the blue rice fields while sitting in front of the window. You can also see them when you go downstairs to eat and in the restaurant. If you are lazy and don't want to go out, isn't it great! And the decoration of the room is also very beautiful, the space is large and comfortable, and there is plenty of hot water. I am very satisfied.
On the way from Pu'er to Yuanyang, I received a text message and added the boss's WeChat. The boss sent the location and found it smoothly! There are no stairs in the B&B, and they are very enthusiastic to help us carry our luggage. The boss's wife is very nice. Seeing us drinking coffee and taking pictures, she also took the initiative to help us get ethnic costumes for us to take pictures. There is a large map on the wall of the boss's house. The boss and the boss's wife patiently explained to us the tour route and the essence of each site. In the evening, we went to see the sunset of Dawazha. Because the driving skills were not good and this section of the road was too narrow and difficult to drive, the boss drove us to see it and waited for us to come back. It took more than an hour to go back and forth. Thank you so much! When we were leaving the next day, we didn't know the route. The boss who was in charge of cooking also helped us call Duoyishu to confirm the weather, and then gave us very specific instructions on how to go and how to navigate to the best way.
In addition, the boss's meal was very delicious. It was the lightest and most delicious meal I had in Yunnan in 9 days! It is said that the vegetables were picked directly from the boss's field, which was really fresh! The breakfast was also super delicious, and the sweet potatoes were very sweet.
The next day, the boss said that I booked the room too early and it was too expensive, and took the initiative to refund me 60 yuan. I was really touched! Such a sincere person, I wish you a fortune! This time, I didn't see the beautiful blue terraces due to the heavy fog on the second day. I want to go next time and will definitely choose to continue living here. It's really beautiful scenery, beautiful people, super great!

AAnonymous UserThe boss is a big sister in Henan, people are very enthusiastic, before going to the inquiry, I introduced the chartered driver to me, and helped me leave an electric blanket for the room. After arriving, I also introduced the free viewing place, ordering food and cooking at any time, but honestly, the room was still a bit cramped, and the bed was barely between the bed. I heard that the voltage on the mountain is unstable, and there is always a power outage. This time I also caught up with 🙈.
The inn is not far from the Duoyishu Observation Deck, only a ten-minute walk away. There is also a village below, which can go down to the terraces or stroll around.
I only knew when I went there. The price and quality of accommodation on the Yuanyang terraces are relatively large, especially during the holidays, so it is also rich and frugal. ～
