The hotel is in a prime location, close to all attractions, the room is of a suitable size, the surrounding places to eat are also very good, and the hotel service is also very good. The entire Brunei transportation is extremely inconvenient, there are few public transportation and taxis are very expensive.
The room we got upon arrival was not clean. It looked like only the bedding has been changed.
Next day we were upgraded to a better and very clean room. Part of the staff very friendly and helpful. Other staff not so useful and asking for tips with checkout, which seems odd to me. Very handy and nice boat service to town with their own jetty and boat around the corner. Breakfast quite OK (continental part a bit limited). Overall a very pleasant and good experience at this hotel.
Abdul Razak Hotel Apartments is a very excellent option for the travelers who prefers to stay in a convenient but relatively quiet place.
Also, the facility and the staff are superior to make sure your stay will be pleasant while you visit Bandar Seri Begawan :)

The two rooms are actually three rooms, the middle one is an open kitchen and living room. The location is not good, except for the supporting commercial area downstairs, you must have a car when you go out. The staff is very nice, the only hotel where there is nothing wrong with the front desk to the room service. There is a free airport shuttle. Later, I heard that I needed to buy medicine, and I specially arranged for someone to drive us out without any cost. There are service points of large car rental companies, and travel services can also be booked with hotels. The commercial facilities are quite complete, and there will be locals eating a work meal at noon.
Check in time is strictly at 2pm.
Bed a bit hard (For me)
Gym quite run down or under renovation.
However it's quite convenient as the supermarket is just downstairs.
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Radisson Hotel near the town in Brunei, and my experience was quite delightful. The hotel's prime location, just a stone's throw away from the town, made it convenient for exploration and local attractions.
The spacious and well-appointed room offered a comfortable retreat after a day of sightseeing. The staff's warm welcome and efficient service added a personal touch to the overall experience. The room's cleanliness and attention to detail were commendable.
Radisson Brunei boasts impressive amenities, including a well-equipped fitness center and a refreshing swimming pool. The on-site dining options exceeded my expectations, with a diverse menu that catered to various tastes.
One standout feature was the hotel's commitment to safety and hygiene, evident in their adherence to health protocols. This added a layer of comfort, especially during these times.
The proximity to the town allowed me to easily explore local markets, restaurants, and cultural landmarks. Whether for business or leisure, Radisson Hotel Brunei provides a welcoming and enjoyable stay. I highly recommend it for those seeking comfort, convenience, and a touch of hospitality in the heart of Brunei.
The hotel is located close to the city centre, which can be reached on foot in 15 minutes.
There is a free airport transfer and also a shuttle to the sights of the city - all on request.
We had the family room, which was very spacious. Unfortunately, it is very dated and does not meet western standards. Our room was not cleaned once in four days and we had to pay extra for fresh towels - this is unacceptable.
The breakfast is very rudimentary, there are the most necessary things, nothing more - like in a youth hostel.
Durian is - as usual - forbidden in the hotel. Two metres from the outside entrance, however, the staff sit and eat them. This is very unprofessional.
Overall, you realise that tourism does not play a major role in Brunei. Even if the staff try hard to help in many places, they are for the most part very unprofessional and do not meet modern standards.
You shouldn't expect too much, then it can be a satisfying stay.
The person from Higher Hotel assigned to meet me at the airport didn't show up so I had to ask a (p/u-s/o) working at the airport to make call (my phone was unusable) to the hotel. The pick up was for 01:00 but was delay until 02:00 Other than this episode the rest of the stay was quite positive.
Higher Hotel is a good location for people who have a limited time to visit Brunei's capital, Bandar Seri Begawan. Higher Hotel has a group of professional personnel ( beside the airport p/u person), friendly, helpful and courteous. The lobby is bright and airy with adequate sofas for guest waiting for cabs or transportation. The room and the bathroom, in my opinion, is better than most three stars hotel. There is a fair sized shopping mall across the street (to the right) from the hotel. Jame's Hassanil Bolkiah Mosques is only a 15 mins easy pace walk. The hotel can arrange a sightseeing trip for the four must see (my take if you have only one free day to take in the city):
Istana Nurul Iman,
Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque, Kampong Ayer - Venice of East, and Jame's Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque.
Jame's Hassanil Bolkiah Mosqueis only 15 mins walk from the Higher Hotel. Walk out from the hotel's front door, turn right and walk on that direction of the highway. To check your bearing, you may want to walk down to the roadside bus stop (just outside the hotel) and look to the right where you will see a pedestrian crossover above the highway. You can walk through the shopping mall (across the from the hotel) to get to the crossover. Go over the crossover and walk alongside the highway (nice walking path with green grass between the highway). Make a left turn when arrive at a four way signal lights. Turn left and look up. The golden domes of the mosque is 5 minutes away.

YYeah Boleh Jalanroom is very specious. free parking available at underground level. bathroom a bit small. breakfast menu is simple. but this hotel location is very close to a mall. so, it is easy to shopping around.
SSamitchThe staff were very friendly and very helpful, the location is great. The rooms however are dirty, paint is peeling from the walls, there is hair on the floor, and a lot of bugs. I opened the kettle to boil some water and it was full of dead ants.
BblobbtThe check in was easy the cost was affordable and the beds were comfy.
Unfortunately the hotel is just a bit far away. Brunei is a lovely place but a little bit of lack of public transport and the walking paths aren't very comprehensive so sometimes to get into the main part of the of the city it can be up to an hour pong walk.
Otherwise the hotel is great.
XXiaoyaozi·KinIt feels like a hostel transformed from an office! The location is great right in the city centre. But the Hostel, which can accommodate more than a dozen people, only has one bathroom! Are you feeling dizzy?
AAnonymous UserThe location is very good in the city center, it is very convenient to nearby attractions, the environment is OK, there are office and charging places in the public area, air conditioning, and the price is relatively cheap.
