Best Creswick Hotels

It was off to a bit of a chaotic start the minute we walked in with kids running around screaming everywhere and towels all over reception to handle the leaking roof. Thankfully things got better. We stayed in a Fairway Room which I'd recommend. Hugely spacious with a pretty outlook of the golf course/grounds. Everything in the room looked clean and in good condition. Dinner at Three Founders was enjoyable and there were enough vegetarian options (online menu/wine list needs an update though as the wine list has increased in price by about 20% than what was on there). Breakfast was basic and not so great, I wouldn't go out of your way. Service throughout the stay was really solid, particularly the woman who checked me in and dinner staff at Three Founders - really polite and helpful. I had stayed at the Healesville resort last year and I prefer the Healesville resort out of the two. I think the Goldfields resort would be great if you were taking kids but for an adult friends/couples retreat I'd probably look elsewhere. Overall though we enjoyed the stay - friendly staff, large and clean room and a good dinner at Three Founders.

The location here is perfect – a few minutes from the railway station, and only 5-10 minutes walk from the main city centre. There is an excellent pub next door and a very pleasant cafe over the road. Although I’d booked a “standard room” it felt more like a small apartment – with a sitting and dining area, a good size kitchenette (microwave, huge fridge, gas hob etc … no oven) and a big bathroom. The wifi was good and I found the bed very comfortable. A few small negatives … My room was next to the pub and the sound-proofing was poor so I could hear music (though not late and not excessive). Also, the room and furnishings were a little shabby in paces and in need of some maintenance. So it’s 4 stars instead of 5. But I’ll certainly consider staying there again.

The hotel is relatively new, the rooms are well-equipped, clean and tidy. It is very close to the city center and the surrounding environment is quite quiet. There is an open-air parking lot next to the hotel, which is free. The hotel has an underground parking lot, and the elevator can go directly to the room floor. When checking in, the waiter will ask you if you want to park your car in the underground garage. It is safer, but it costs 15 per night. knife. The access control can open the basement door and the glass door to enter the hotel. Scan the card and take the elevator to the room. The overall feeling is very safe and convenient.

It's in a reasonably close location from the train station. I arrived just after 1pm however the entry door was locked, so I had to call the phone number I received in my email booking to gain entry before 2pm. It's self sustaining with no reception, although I did see a cleaner there the following morning. The room itself is what you need it to be, a comfortable bed, a fan which cooled the room down, a heater for the cooler months, and lots of charging points. The fridge and freezer were quite large, tea and coffee facilities were decent, the shower and toilet were fine with good flow and solid hot water. While it wasn't luxury, I was happy with everything, and it was very good for the price. It was very quiet as well with no traffic noise. The pub itself wasn't open while I was there nor did I see any signs of when it was reopening, but the leagues club across the road appeared to sell meals and drinks.

Ballarat flashed from Melbourne, the hotel is one step away from the train station and conveniently located. The sound of the train can be heard, and the hotel has earplugs at the bedside. But the staff is seriously insufficient on public holidays, and the front desk +housekeeping seems to be one person. Booked a room rate with breakfast, checkin was told that there was no breakfast, contacted Trip.com customer service to solve it

The room was clean, bed comfy and a hot shower. Very basic inside. After two showers, it had leaked through to the lounge and soaked the carpet. We had to block the front door surrounds with the extra pillows as the draft blowing through was very loud and kept waking us up! A sign on reception door said it was closed, please call. The phone was answered by fellow sitting at reception desk that we could see through window, he requested we come in, when asking about sign on the door, he ignored us. Car parking is rather tight, if you have a largish car. Cleaners were quite noisy early in the morning. This will certainly not be my first choice when looking to stay in Ballarat again, not good value for $$$
