Short trip to the Christmas market to Innsbruck. We liked the connection of the hotel to the public transportation. All 15 minutes by bus to the center. The hotel welcomes its guests with very friendly staff, clean rooms and beautiful atmosphere. Wi-Fi and parking outside the hotel are free. Breakfast does not open wishes. Go to come back.

A very good experience, very convenient when registering for accommodation; the waiter is very friendly and has a feeling of being at home. Unfortunately, I had to leave early this time and didn't have breakfast. Next to it is a big supermarket!

The Alphotel Innsbruck is probably the worst hotel we've ever stayed at! But we had no choice since we were on a tour package and this was the hotel that Gate1 chose for our itinerary. We weren't the only tour members who did not have a good stay at this hotel. Our tour group had a long day and we were scheduled to arrive late so we were all pretty tired when we arrived. Unfortunately the room we were assigned to didn't even look or feel exceptionally clean and I'm surprised I didn't take photos of the room! Comparing posted photos of the rooms on TA our room looked much older and didn't even have a real chair, but only one of those small round ottomans. And that ottoman was dirty and stained, so we didn't want to sit on that! The bedspread had that ”ick” factor, so we removed it but at least the sheets were clean. Carpet looked grungy so we made sure to wear our slippers and not walk barefoot on it. Regret not taking pictures of the room now. We've stayed at hotels with older or ”tired” decor but they were at least neat and clean, but not at this hotel! Now the ”fun” part was our bathroom door. I was getting ready to take a shower and went into the bathroom, but wanted to use my own soap and toiletries, so I went out of the bathroom and my husband (who was standing in front of the bathroom, looking at the closet or something right across from the bathroom) shut the opaque glass bathroom door. I went back to the bathroom and tried to open the door and it was locked! It was one of those simple privacy type locks where there's usually a pinhole that you can usually press and it'll pop open. Unfortunately, there was no pinhole but a screw so I tried twisting the screw but the door remained locked. Husband tried but it kept turning and he didn't have any tools so he called the front desk and they sent the maintenance guy up. The maintenance guy looked at the door and tried twisting the screw with the same results and said he needed to go get his tools. He returned with his small toolbox and tried several screwdrivers, with no luck. Then he tried using a small drill to remove the screw and still couldn't get the door unlocked. Meanwhile, we were sitting on the bed and watching tv since there was nothing else we could do. I texted our friends who were also traveling in the tour group and assigned to the room right next door to let them know what was happening. And to apologize to them for the loud racket, as the maintenance guy went and got his large power drill and was basically removing the entire door knob and panel. So the guy had to destroy the whole door knob panel because the door lock screw or nut inside the panel was probably stripped and couldn't unlock or open the door; so if I was on the other side of the door I would have been stuck in the bathroom! Short visit to my friends in Doc. Short term reserved and very pleasant, cozy guest room. I chose from the day offer ”wild pig” - very good with cracked vegetables and tasteful potatoes. All the input with the tomato soup was super, and the red wine recommendation for the pig was ”point-exact”. After-food variety for 3 people - very fine, attractive, a lot of taste. At the next visit I will try fish, the presentation and preparation to the neighbouring table made sure to enjoy fish.

The hotel is situated in a residential area on the outskirts of Innsbruck, but a bus stop just outside the hotel and a 15 minutes ride into town makes this a convenient hotel for tourists. The room and sanitary facilities were OK, but we missed not having a fridge or a coffee maker/kettle in the room. The breakfast buffet was sufficient, but not very exciting. Dinner, however, was very good: I tried the local black sausage as main course (at the proprietor's recommendation), and his suggestion of a local red wine was on the spot! Nevertheless, I must conclude that the room price was higher than any of the other hotels we stayed at in Austria, and we did not feel we were getting the proper value for our money.

Not far from the city center, there is a small church on the edge of the hotel, listening to the bells of the church feels very comfortable. There is a parking lot, suitable for self-driving tour. Good breakfast, suitable for children, I booked a family room, a double bed, a sofa bed, toilet and toilet are independent.

Bathroom: Clean with a very good shower. Slippers: Not provided Bathrobe: Not provided Soaps/Cosmetics: Provided Hairdryer: Not provided Unpleasant smells: I did not smell any. Soundproofing: Average WIFI: Free of charge in the room as well in the hotel. Connection speed was slow and quite stable. I did not have any problem to connect all my devices. TV: Large flat TV with also international channels Air conditioning/heating system: Did not understand how air conditioning was working, temperature was not 100% comfortable. Wardrobe: Open, enough for 2-3 days trip. Mini-bar: not available. Key/Card: Key card working well, no problem opening the door and even to keep it same pockets of mobile FACILITIES OF MY INTEREST Parking: Hotel does provide this service but I did not use it. Shuttle to Airport service: Hotel does not provide this service. Gym/SPA: Not present. BREAKFAST: from 6:30 to 9:30 am, not a wide range of products but all is necessary for a basic breakfast was present and quality was fine. I would rate 7/10 for a 3 stars hotel. We stayed there two nights and it was great value for its price. In a quaint part of Innsbruck, Pradl Elf fully immersed us in the heart of the city, only a short walk away from restaurants, the Olympic Park, and (a bit further of a walk) the old city. The room we got was spacious, comfortable, and clean. Though we didn't use it, the little kitchenette provided was quite nice and could have been used. The bathroom was good. It is clear that the hotel is not always staffed: before our arrival (which we said via a form would be at 3pm), they sent us emailed instructions for how to get in the event that no staff was there. The instructions were simple to follow and straightforward, but as an American it was a bit odd to not see any staff present. But, the whole time, we felt secure so it was fine. The parking will cost 8 euros a day but is convenient, located about a 2 minute walk from the hotel.

Located on the outskirts of Innsbruck the hostel is relatively easy to get to. From the central station you just walk around the corner and catch the number 3 tram (heading for Amras). After a few stops you get off at `Pilippine-welser strabe’ and then walk for about ten minutes. Incidentally, if your flight is a morning one, don’t turn up at the hostel in the hope of an early check-in as there is no receptionist until 14.00. So unless you want to sit outside and twiddle your thumbs you would be better off placing your bags in one of the rail station lockers and having a look around the city. Our room was small and basic (no television etc.) and our allocated bathroom was across the corridor. But it was all high spec and, in keeping with the rest of the hostel, spotlessly clean. The receptionists were polite, knowledgeable and helpful (don’t forget to ask for your welcome card which gives you free travel on the trams and buses within the city). Breakfast was more than sufficient to keep us going for most of the day, although some might feel that the choice on offer a bit limited. Should we ever return to Innsbruck we’d be happy to stay at the Marmota again.
