Super good reviews, the train station is only a few minutes walk away, and the ground is flat and easy to push the suitcase. The room is not big but the layout is reasonable. I stayed in a room on the fifth floor, with a sloping roof and three large windows on the roof that can be opened to see the snow-capped mountains outside. The included breakfast is also delicious, and the restaurant is very carefully decorated.

The room is not big but very cozy and clean. The bed is comfortable. The surrounding is quiet and tidy and not noisy at all. Although it is summer, it is not hot here at all. There is no need for air conditioning or electric fan. It takes about 15 minutes to walk here from the train station with luggage. It is not far. There is a Thai restaurant nearby, but it is not open when I am here.

What a lovely hotel in the heart of Chur. We were travelling by train an it’s easy accessible from the train station. Very comfortable room and we had a nice view of the mountain. We found the breakfast very nice and plenty of choice. It has a nice relaxing lounge area and bar. We would stay here again if visiting Chur.

Fantastic solo room with one of the coolest bathrooms I have had in a hotel room. Really great design. The breakfast is really good and the location is perfect for seeing the old town of Chur. Easy walk from the train station on level streets and sidewalks. It was a very relaxing place, I wish I had stayed for two nights instead of just one. Front desk lady was really warm and friendly. Room was spotless.

This hotel has some old world charm and we enjoyed our overnight stay. Our room was large and clean. Nothing fancy but it served our purpose. Our room was quite warm but, fortunately, there was a fan provided and that helped. Breakfast was wonderful, beautifully set up in a lovely room with an intricate ceiling. Plenty of options including scrambled eggs, sausage and bacon - and the usual breads, juices, cereals, etc. you definitely won't leave there hungry. All in all an enjoyable stay.

Positives: Good location, large bed rooms. Negatives: The staff are cold and totally indifferent to you. We had to ask for the discount guest cable card as it was not offered to us. Breakfast very poor with tiny selection of fruit and hot foods. No kettle or fridge in room. The bathroom has a very flimsy door with little privacy if you do a no 2. Shower temperature kept changing from hot to cold. Wifi weak.

Wij hebben genoten van onze 2 nachten met ontbijt. Ruime, schone kamer en badkamer met zeer goede bedden. Het ontbijt was voortreffelijk, met voldoende keuze en lokale en huisgemaakte producten: heerlijk versgebakken brood (het was nog warm) en een zalige gelei van appel en vlierbloesem! Wie wilde kon zelfs een glas prosecco nemen.Het personeel was warm en vriendelijk, zowel aan het onthaal als in de bar, de schoonmaak en het restaurant. Wij vertrokken erg vroeg en mochten zonder problemen eerder komen ontbijten. Tot onze verbazing was alles beschikbaar en konden we dus nog eens genieten van een deugddoende maaltijd. Het enige dat nog ontbrak was een koelkastje op de kamer, maar dat deed geen afbreuk aan onze fijne ervaring.

enjoyed our stay at the Ambience Hotel Freieck. Located in Chur’s Old Town, it occupies a beautiful 16th-century building with a well-done blend of historic architecture and modern conveniences. The rooms are bright and contemporary with nice beds and good Internet. The breakfast in the morning is very nice and the staff is friendly and helpful offering excellent suggestions for dinner. They gave us a Guest Card Chur (Gastekarte Chur) for discounts and free admission for attractions.
