Lake Twenty Thousand Farm and Retreat

We had booked three nights but could only arrive on the third night. I knew I would lose the cost of the first two nights but when it came to check out, I was asked to pay for the three nights, despite having already paid through Trip.com. Fortunately, I had a Nepali friend come to collect us and he spoke with their head office. If he had not been there it would have been very difficult, despite showing the money taken from my bank. This was the second time for this to happen in Nepal when booking through Trip; already paid but being asked to pay again.. Our room had no wi-fi, no hot water and only one seat to sit on outside. The place looked in poor condition, so we were not sorry to only spend one night there.
Rainbow Safari Resort
4.7/514 Reviews
Overall, the hotel was satisfactory considering the price. The service provided not only accommodation, but also various tours, bus arrangements, and meals. The friendly staff gave us lots of information about the tour and the local area. I took a bus to Souraha, but they also dropped me off at the bus stop, which was about a 20 minute walk. The room felt clean. There was no hot water, but it was a hot season so it wasn't a problem. If you pointed it out to the staff, they might have taken care of it. It had air conditioning. It's a few minutes walk from the downtown area, and it's a bit lonely at night, but I think it's tolerable.
Jungle Villa Resort - Near Chitwan National Park
4.7/542 Reviews
This hotel is located near Chitwan National Park, across the river from the park. You can see crocodiles, birds, elephants and other wild animals. The environment is very good. The facilities in these independent small villas are relatively traditional and integrated with local culture. You can enjoy the rare tranquility here. The service staff are very warm and friendly, and are willing to help. There are senior animal experts who will take us to the river to look for wild animals. Now is the off-season for local tourism. We almost booked the resort. Many service staff surrounded us, allowing us to fully enjoy the fun of vacation. If you want to explore the national park, the resort will provide a variety of advanced and comfortable chartered car services, which must be very interesting.
Sapana Village Lodge
4.2/542 Reviews
My experience at Sapana Village Lodge was far from what I expected based on the glowing reviews. The property itself feels neglected, with rooms that are poorly maintained. My bedding didn’t look clean, and the bathroom had a lingering unpleasant odor that made my stay uncomfortable. The service was also disappointing. While the staff were polite, they seemed exhausted and unmotivated, which wasn’t surprising when I learned they’re made to work extremely long hours for minimal pay. It left a sour taste knowing the company doesn’t seem to prioritize the well-being of its team. The food was another letdown. Despite the menu looking promising, the meals were cold, flavorless, and took ages to arrive. Dining became more of a hassle than a pleasant experience. To top it off, the tours and activities were overpriced and felt rushed. The guides seemed uninterested, and the whole experience lacked the charm and authenticity I was hoping for. Overall, Sapana Village Lodge didn’t just disappoint in terms of quality. It was also disheartening to witness the poor treatment of staff. I cannot recommend staying here, and I hope management makes serious changes to both their facilities and how they treat their employees.
Hotel Riverside
4.4/532 Reviews
My stay at Hotel Riverside was nothing short of perfect! The location, right by the serene riverside, offered breathtaking views that made every moment special. The highlight for me was the pristine swimming pool – spacious, well-maintained, and perfect for both relaxation and fun. The rooms were immaculately clean and beautifully designed, blending modern amenities with a cozy ambiance. The staff went above and beyond to ensure every need was met, always with a warm smile. Dining at the hotel was another delightful experience – the food was delicious, with plenty of options to suit all tastes. Whether you're looking for a peaceful getaway or a family vacation, this hotel truly has it all. I can't wait to return and relive the magic. Highly recommended!

Makemytrip booked this place as 3-star hotel didn't meet the expectations rooms are big and spacious but not clean bathroom no continuous hot water its a solar water so early morning you can expect hot water ants everywhere in the room just one mirror in center of the wall only one person at a time should sit and use they don't provide dustbins in room, there is no TV either they will book a jungle safar, breeding center and local dance program for you staff is friendly breakfast not worthy, no buffet, they don't know what to server first the take all order and serve coffee first if you ask anything extra they will give a nice look as if they are doing a favor It doesn't have a three star luxury with #makemytrip had promised, didn't meet my expectation steps are not scientific more height than standard seniors will have tough time to climb even normal people also will face difficulty
