We were a party of 6 booked in for an 80th birthday celebration. From the start, it was clear they were massively understaffed for a busy Saturday night…. 3 staff for the whole bar and restaurant! We had a long wait to get the attention of the bar staff to even get our table. Weather had another long wait to get menus, a long wait to order. The starter was delivered before our drinks had been brought. When asked why, the very disinterested and almost rude waitress said ‘well the starter was ready…’! She had previously thrown the menus down in front of us without so much as a ‘good evening’. She should not be in the service industry. The comedy continued with us having to get up to find someone g ft or everything we needed, the waitress didn’t know the menu, what any dishes comprised, and when she brought some tomato sauce and was then asked for some mustard her response was ‘what, mustard as well??!’ She inappropriately moaned to us about the ‘locals’ being rude. Shockingly bad service and attitude all round but the food was surprisingly good. We may not return for the well known ‘Pudding Club’ due to the pathetic service. Whoever manages the staff scheduling at this joint needs to be hung, drawn and quartered!

What a wonderful unique experience! Checked in early (paid a small Charge for this) into the Chocolate Suite which was a delightful themed room offering a ‘chocolate box’ king bed and other chocolate themed items. This even extended into the bathroom with chocolate themed tiling and hotel commissioned tiles. The suite was large with a sofa area and had air conditioning - brilliant for the current weather. The Pudding Club evening is lovely and worth a go. With a main course and 7 puddings to try and vote for. There is a winning pudding declared at the end of the evening and a certificate for taking part. It was such a unique idea - they really could expand this to other locations. You didn’t have to stay overnight to take part. Diners were put into tables of 10 and everyone was very friendly. Tim was our Master of Ceremony and did an excellent job. As did the servers. It was a long evening for them - starting at 630 and concluding around 1030. If you are looking for something memorable and a little different I can recommend. Other attractions are a short drive away.

I booked this hotel via ******* and was allocated a tiny attic room above very large very noisy kitchen extraction fans. The room was so small it could not accommodate a chest of drawers. We were promised that the fans would be switched off at 9pm and not restarted until 7am. This was not a truthful promise ! At 10-30 pm I went to the bar and insisted that the fans were switched off. At 6am next morning the fans were started and we were woken up. Why not change the room ? This could be done if we paid the hotel more money ! So a solution to the problem would have made money for the hotel and cost us. So much for customer service. I will never stay at this hotel again. The staff were very good but the management were anything but.

I bought my partner an evening at ‘Pudding club’ for his birthday. From start to finish it was brilliant, we had great company with strangers we’d never met and laughed the whole evening! He was even involved in the parade of puddings. The experience involved a score card where you rated each pudding and everyone got a certificate at the end. A great experience if you have a sweet tooth! Would highly recommend:)

This was not our first visit to this hotel and have had problems with the standard of maintenance in the rooms and cleanliness in the past but the quality of the evening meal has persuaded us to stay again, that and a different bedroom every visit. This time we had a large bedroom with fortunately only a few carpet stains and one cracked tile in the bathroom to worry about. Our biggest disappointment came later in the evening. All the dining room chairs appeared to have various stains on them that made me think twice about even sitting on them! The dinner menu offered far fewer choices and the very pleasant waiting staff were unsure of the main ingredients in the main options. Our first course was fine but our main course tasted very strongly of ‘bistro gravy’ with minimal vegetable accompaniment. Not the standard of fair we had experienced in previous years. Ice cream choices were very limited too which was also disappointing. The cooked breakfast was buffet style and offered an English breakfast - no other choices - and standard cereals etc. The fried eggs were solid having been left under hot lights for too long and a long wait ensued as fresh ones were cooked. This rather suggested to us that there was minimal staff in the kitchen matching the minimal waiting staff in the dining room. At checkout nobody came to the desk just addressed us from the office about leaving our keys. No pleasantries exchanged about if we had enjoyed our stay or similar. On a plus point all the waiting staff we encountered were very pleasant, helpful and despite long working days were still cheerful and very accommodating of our extra requests. Thank you. I hope the new owners when they arrive, can manage to pay the extra attention to details required to bring the hotel back it’s hey day.

This hotel has been taken over by different people, I have stayed at Three ways hotel many times, but on this occasion it was not good at all. The receptionist give us the wrong directions to our room, the previous owners always showed us to our room. I booked a superior double, well it was tiny, and the panel of the bath was broken and held on by tape. Under the previous oeners breakfast was always included in the price but now it is an extra £15.00 each. Also the previous owners always left in the room the latest Country cotswold life magazine for you to read, well that has been stooped as well, all in all it has really gone down hill. Mrs Beers.

Stayed here almost a week while hiking in the Cotswolds. Don't want to comment much on our room, as each one is so vastly different from another, you need to inquire about your needs. We had a ground floor room with an outside private, fenced, patio, but oddly another room's windows looked out onto it. We had a shower, not a bathtub, which apparently isn't typical. Heat was turned off, but we were comfortable. Beds were comfortable. Meal service in the restaurant had some great staff, and at least one in serious need of training. Breakfast was the same every day, which grew tedious. Bar service was very good. Ate enough pudding for a lifetime at the "Pudding Club." I would probably look for alternatives in the area were I to return to the Cotswolds.
