Sonder South Wabash Apartments South Loop

I don’t write many reviews, but there were so many mixed opinions about this place that I decided to weigh in. Ultimately it’s fine. We have two teen daughters, so having the second bedroom and second bathroom were huge. We could have stayed downtown in a nicer property like The Gwen for about the same price but it would have been a standard hotel room with two queens and that’s it. This place isn’t super luxurious, but it works. It reminds me of a nicer college dorm or off campus apartment. Or something you’d fine in Sweden. Always nice to have laundry and a full fridge. Area is fine and safe. You can walk to coffee and shops, and there’s an L station right there as well. It’s more of a neighborhood where folks live. Again, if you want plush and luxury, don’t stay here. It’s basically an apartment building. No rooftop, no pool, etc. But if you’re going to be out doing stuff all day and want more of an Airbnb feel while earning Bonvoy points, it’s a great choice.
