An overall well appointed and comfortable hotel in proximity to the University of Chicago, and likely the best hotel within walking distance. Pleasantly decorated rooms and high quality furnishings, nice art in public space. The area is gentrifying but not quite upscale… good bar and restaurant. Would happily stay again if visiting U of C.

Very good hotel, located 10-20 minutes walk from the University of Chicago, which meets the purpose of this trip. There are many restaurants downstairs (tried an Asian restaurant and it was good. There is also dinner and bar in the hotel lobby. Tried a Western restaurant and it was also good). When asked about safety issues, the bellhop mentioned that there were many police cars around, and it was very safe. Only the next morning when I went to Target Starbucks, I met a homeless person. The hotel facilities are good. There is also a record player in the room

The hotel is very stylish, spacious and comfortable. I like it very much. Apple coffee and ice water are provided in the lobby every day, which is very thoughtful. The only problem is the customer service and cleanliness, which is very bad. It feels like the housekeeping department is in disarray. I stayed for a total of five nights, and no one cleaned the room and changed towels for two days. I arrived at the hotel at two o'clock and was told that check-in would be at three o'clock. During this period, people kept checking in early. The two front desk staff were laughing loudly and even used words like "shut up".
