When we checked into the room, we found ants running around, dirt under the bed. Otherwise, it was cozy, convenient location, friendly staff, they always helped when we asked, they didn't refuse!

Located within the city walls, it is within walking distance of the temples. There were many red songthaews running on the main street. There is a gate on the main street, and there is a guard at the entrance to the parking lot, so it is quiet. The room was clean, but the hot water pot did not boil water, so I could not make coffee. No bottled water was provided. They kept my luggage after check-in and check-out.

Hotel is kind of old but the room is newly renovated..big, bright, clean room. Helpful staffs , as well. You can store your luggage with them, after checking out. They even helped me to get a tuk tuk to bus station when all other ride apps failed to get me a car. Will come back if I'm staying in old town.

During this free trip to Chiang Mai, I stayed in hotels in the east, south, west and north of the ancient city. I personally think that the West Hotel (North of the City) is the most cost-effective.
