If you want a quiet and peaceful area near Uthandi Beach. It is a good option. There are restaurants nearby by the hotel veg and non-veg both are very tasty and affordable.

The location is good for those who enjoy beaches, but it's quite far from the nearest metro station, which made transportation inconvenient. Unfortunately, the bed sheets were dirty and stained, the AC was leaking, and the staff was rude, which really affected my stay negatively.

Liked the stay, walkable to beach, comfortable for 2 people and quiet from hustle..
Room was maintained well but seen some cockroach...no coffee or tea available...

UPAR hotel is an epitome of what being customer obsessed means. From the time we walked through that door till the time we left, the whole team made sure our stay was comfortable. Even the owner of the hotel, Mr Arjun was very approachable. Not only did he make us feel safe, but he also made sure all our needs were taken care of. Being from north, he guided us with exploring chennai, places to visit, must try cafes & restaurants & so on. He even went to the trouble of providing us with a dongle for us being able to do our office work without any hassle. Can't thank him enough for that. For me personally, the daily morning breakfast of idli sambar was truly memorable. Overall, the property of Upar Hotel, Uthandi is at a serene location. The Uthandi beach is a 10 min walk. Being in a bit of outskirts, it's quite peaceful there. You can enjoy its local scenic beauty while being able to relax yourself down. It's also a 30 min drive from mahabalipuram and 1.5 hours from puducherry. Thank you Upar team for having us.
