St Francis Cottage

It's hard to find a great value and extraordinary customer service when travelling these days, but St. Francis Cottage is a hidden treasure that provides both! Wallace and Nancy are the two most customer-friendly owners that I have ever encountered at any B&B or any other lodging establishment. In a world in which it's become the norm to screw the customer by charging extra fees for every little thing, Wallace and Nancy don't charge extra for ANYTHING! And their room rates are already good values even before all the little extras, which include free toiletries such as toothbrush, toothpaste, etc. if you forgot to pack something, free sodas, beverages and other snacks, free wine and beer every evening, and FREE Netflix and many other premium channels! The three-course breakfasts are delicious and filling. The location is both secluded yet also an easy 5 minute drive to the largest mall in the area and many nice restaurants. Everything about this place exudes serenity, relaxation and a stress-free environment. The structure is only 8 years old, and evidently Wallace went the extra mile in making the rooms soundproof when he constructed the place, because even though the second floor was mostly full when we were there, we never heard a peep from anything or anyone outside our room. Every detail has been addressed, from very comfortable mattresses and pillows to even little things like labelling all of the light switches so that you know exactly what each switch does without having to guess! This will forever more be our go-to place in Chattanooga.

Almost booked a regular old hotel but luckily came upon St. Francis Cottage. After speaking with proprietor, Wallace, decided to book! A great decision! He and Nancy made us feel soooo welcome to their beautiful property and everything was top notch! The room was fantastic, breakfast nothing short of gourmet and delicious!! Wallace and Nancy were kind, engaging, attentive B&B owners. The cottage was in wonderful condition, so clean and not showing any signs of age. The rooms and the meeting room/eating area were decorated wonderfully. I wish it hadn't been rainy as I would have loved to walk the grounds. I appreciated the available baskets of essentials for those who may have forgotten something. The evening snacks and beverages were appreciated, and breakfast was so delicious, especially the fresh fruit. The cottage is located in a residential area, but the grounds are so big that we felt away from everything! I can't wait to return. I highly recommend this as a place to stay. Thank you so much, Wallace and Nancy. We will be back.

Our time at St. Francis Cottage was amazing. Our room was spacious and well appointed. The property is peaceful, and yet you can quickly get to many wonderful restaurants and parks. The owners, Wallace and Nancy, were attentive and kind, and our breakfasts were tasty and filling.

From the minute you walk into this charming bed and breakfast the stress starts melting away. Always with a warm smile, Wallace and Nancy truly make you feel welcome. The rooms are luxurious and impeccably decorated. You will want for nothing during your stay. From homemade cookies to the happy hour at 7:30 ish to the three course breakfast in the morning you will be continually pampered and spoiled. The beds are super comfortable. Wallace and Nancy are extremely knowledgeable about the area and can help with most anything you need. The Chattanooga market is super fun on Sunday afternoons with live music and local food vendors and crafts. Admission is free! If you’re looking to get away from the stress of life and enjoy the scenery this is the place for you. Just a stones throw away from city life it’s the best of both worlds. Have a great time!

When you want to stay at the best, stay here! Amazing hospitality all around, including a 3-course breakfast that was superb. The room was very comfortable and the common areas are so cozy and inviting. Oh, and if you forget anything, they have got you covered. We never had a chance to sample the wine or fresh cookies in the evening, but we appreciate that we were staying in a place that was so thoughtful.
