No German-speaking staff anymore - a negative. You feel like you're somewhere else in the world.
One employee spent a long time only speaking to Portuguese or Spanish guests; we were ignored, and probably not appreciated either.
Service in the restaurant was very brief, almost unfriendly. My pasta was unfortunately very soggy.
All three of us had a lot of trouble falling asleep and staying asleep, not because of the bedding, but because of an annoying noise, which none of us could identify. The receptionist didn't speak German, so we didn't mention it.
The hotel is otherwise very nice and originally furnished.
Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Clean hotel in the centre of Zermatt. Only about a 5 min walk away from the trainstation. All was great!

Fabulous hotel, contemporary styling but with a wonderful swiss chalet still. very helpful and friendly staff. Great central location and very clean! Breakfast selection was good, bread, fruits, pastries, meats and cheeses etc. No cooked/hot food at breakfast. A really brilliant stay, would love to return.
