Quiet location with well decorated and comfortable bedroom. Food was ample and delicious. Staff very friendly - particularly on Reception.

The staff were very friendly and efficient and the food, both at breakfast and in the evening, was excellent. The rooms appeared to be recently decorated and had everything we needed. We would certainly stay here again.

Such a shame about this hotel as most of the ( very young) staff are lovely, but we regretted booking this stay. It obviously needs a bit of money spent on it, however the hotel is very clean and the bedrooms are clean and light, and spacious with plenty of sockets and mirrors. The bath was very high, we struggled to climb out after showering! We ate here the first evening, expecting good things after some of the reviews. However, the experience was poor. We had a starter to share, and as soon as we chewed the last mouthful, , the plates were literally whisked away. I said to the waitress, I hope the main doesn't come soon, I need a break. No sooner were the words spoken when the mains arrived. We both had lemon sole- alas it had either been cooked as soon as we ordered and kept under the heater, or cooked to death. One side of the fish was so dry, the flesh was stuck to the bones, and inedible. Broccoli was raw ( not al dente) and the rest of the veg overcooked. We gave feed back, and were offered to have it re cooked- but by the same token, told there was only one fish left so we didn't bother. We ate elsewhere the following night and had great food and excellent service. We were advised to pre book breakfast time ( we were told it ran from 6.15 am to 9.30 am) we booked 9.30, but got to the breakfast room at 8.45am. There was no one to greet us, no menus, no one around. I had to go to reception to ask for someone. A waitress appeared and gave us menus. When I went to the breakfast buffet, there was a sad looking bowl of "fruit" - mostly just some chopped apples in juice , with about 6 berries. I asked the waitress if she could get more fruit ( we were not the only guests there) Her answer was " Sorry, the chef only makes one fruit salad- its first come, first served" I was shocked and said " but if breakfast runs for over 2 hours, are you asking me to get here at 6.15 if I want any fruit? She didn't reply. We also noticed that the bread, fruit juice etc was topped up in very small portions , bit by bit, so people were having to wait. ( Obviously very penny conscious) Our cooked breakfasts were very nice though. Half way through my cooked breakfast, the waitress arrived and said " The chef says he can make up more fruit for you " I replied, "it's too little, too late, I'm afraid." Plates were also whisked away from us as we were chewing our last mouth full . The second morning we had a better experience of breakfast, more fruit around, more pastries and bread, and a smiling helpful waitress. We won't return.

Stayed her efor a night on our return from holiday in Cornwall. Lovely quiet location (although the entrance through a housing estate was a little unexpected!). Room was comfortable (although a little dated) and the staff were friendly and helpful at all times. The food was excellent. A very good stay

My husband and I booked a 1 night stay for our wedding anniversary in a classic double room. Check-in was straightforward, and our room overlooked the garden. We also booked the restaurant that night, and the standard of the food was excellent. Well presented and delicious. Very nice staff too. The breakfast was very good with a good choice. My only negative would be the room was a little tired.

We booked the table during the week and received confirmation texts regarding our visited today for the Sunday Lunch. We could of had 3 courses if we wanted. Being our first time we only ordered the main course. The menu choices have alot to offer. Our main courses were superb. Well presented and a delicious variety of vegetables. Being a hotel the drink prices were reasonable also. Also we found out today that the Lordlease do a loyalty card. We will definitely be revisiting.

Lovely place to stay
Amazing stay
Staff were amazing and very friednly, all very helpful and could not fault service one bit
Very comfortable stat and would stay again, building is showing its age a little where a little attention would revamp it immensely, not too the level where it would deter people from staying though
The area is lovely and being basically out in an open field makes it feel fresh and beautiful place to stay

Having stayed here several times before it seemed like the perfect place to gather friends and family for a birthday celebration, from the very first enquiry through to checking out the weekend was absolutely amazing. Brigitta and the whole hospitality team are so professional attention to detail was second to none food was exceptional bar staff also need to be recognised for their excellent customer service . We will definitely be coming back and highly recommend this hotel at every given opportunity. Thank you all for making my birthday weekend extra special. Mark

In the middle of fields a d you have drive through a housing estate to get there ! The room was very old with dark furniture, the bed was soft and pillows hard so not idea for good night's sleep. We had dinner on the first night it was okish. Breakfast was good On check out our bill contained drinks we hadn't consumed, but it was rectified right away.
