SpringHill Suites Chambersburg

Good bathroom lighting but poor lighting in rest of the suite. The TV is installed where it is difficult to be seen by both the beds, couch and desk. The TV continually cycled on and off. The automatic door deadbolt did not work. The water pressure is low. The breakfast was good.

This is a clean average hotel. Located near the highway so an easy stop on a road trip. Rooms were large typical Springhill Suites rooms which are great for a family. There are a few places to eat within walking distance. Not sure I would stay again but not for any reason.

Our stay was made wonderful by REGINA at the front desk. She went out of her way to supply us with a room with a tub and trundle bed because we had small children. SHE WAS AWESOME! Will stay again! The pool deck was also being repaired and the workers were super nice and allowed us to swim while they repaired quickly.

First, the front desk staff were all terrific. At checkin and checkout, as well as the lady overseeing the breakfast and coffee service. Secondly, the place needs a good carpet cleaning or replacement. It’s grubby. Stains in the hallways and stains in the room.

If you are familiar with and like the Springhill Suites brand then this will be a good choice for you. It's very new, is typical of the latest Springhill design, with friendly staff and clean, comfortable rooms. It's a basic hotel, let's be clear, but it's done well. The rooms are larger than a typical hotel room and divided in a way to provide a living area and a sleeping area divided by a work desk (not a closed-door suite, to be clear). Large walk-in closet with lots of shelving. Trundle bed which can sleep two extra people. Bathroom door is a slider with frosted glass which was fine however if one person is up earlier than the others it could brighten the whole room. Ideally they would have put a solid sliding door there instead of the tempered glass. Shower was nice with great pressure. HVAC was effective and comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was very basic but fine for what it is. There's a VERY small indoor pool. My request for a high floor away from elevator (made on the Bonvoy app chat earlier in the day) was accommodated and appreciated. Well-situated off I-81 with a lot of chain restaurants around and a large retail development including a large Target. While everything is new and works now I hope they maintain this place well because already there were some towel rods that were loose, some chips in the shower floor, and some signs that this place was built a bit on the cheap - like many chain hotels are these days I've found. So it's all good now but I hope they maintain it well or else it will show its age earlier than it should. Would definitely return if I'm passing through the area or have business in the region.

Quick stopover on a long car ride home . We checked in after 10:00 so the lobby was quiet with no wait , the receptionist at the desk was very friendly and efficient. Our room was a double queen with a sofa/trundle. It was very clean and quite spacious with a nice size closet for our bags. The complimentary breakfast was simple fare but plentiful and hot. The pool was very, very, very small . The fitness room adequate. We only had one issue during our stay. We requested extra blankets and pillows when we got to our room after waiting for an hour I called the front desk to ask how much longer we would have to wait as we were all ready to get some sleep and was told as the only member of staff she could not leave the desk to bring up our requests. I understand this would be a management or under staffing issue but feel notifying us of this problem when the request was made would have been the appropriate course of action. As it was we easily went done to get the necessary items and could have done that without the hour wait. I will still give 5 stars for the cleanliness and size of the rooms, assuming ours was a singular issue. Would definitely stay here again.

We usually stop in Chambersburg overnight on our annual to and from from Toronto to Florida. This hotel really works for us. It is new, clean, well appointed with a good breakfast and better still is surrounded by really terrific restaurants for a dinner out (ie The Texas Roadhouse.) We have used other hotels in the same location. Springhill Suites seems to be the best.

The hotel is a beehive of activity day and night. No chance to get a restful sleep. Animals are now allowed and the one next door to my room starting barking at four fifteen this morning. I'm here for a funeral and would have appreciated a full night of sleep.
