The view of the hotel is very good, on the hillside, you can see the panoramic view of the whole lake. The hardware facilities are average, not as good as other 4 stars but should be better than 3 stars. There was no bottle of water in the room, and there was no place to buy things nearby. Because on the mountainside, if there is no car, it is a bit troublesome to go to the hotel. From the cernobbio bus station, there is a 1km slope and climb to Doubtful Life. The restaurant was ok, had breakfast, dinner and afternoon snacks. The biggest advantage is that the view is good, and the overall price is ok. Finally, don't trust the como bus, you can never wait, it's too late. If you don't drive by yourself, the ferry will be more punctual.

We stayed at Villa d’Este for our second trip to Lake Como. Very pleased with the experience. Food is excellent, pool is beautiful and housekeeping is impeccable. The hotel is located on a beautiful lakefront property with sprawling grounds. Service is prompt and attentive in the classic European style, very great touch. One delicate point, we did get some attitude from the concierge one evening when we asked for a hotel valet to take us in our own vehicle barely 400 meters to the Villa Erba because I was wearing 15cm heels, they promptly refused with cheeky Italian flair as the hotel valet drove our vehicle few hundred meters back into the garage, the irony was not lost on us. All in all, it was a memorable experience and we highly recommend Villa d’Este to anyone visiting Lake Como.

excellent hotel! staff were all friendly and very helpful especially the lady on the front desk, didn't get her name but she went out of her way to make us happy. The Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choices. the room was quite big and the beds were really comfy we slept well the whole stay. We were there for a wedding and the location of the hotel was really good, just a few minutes walk to bars and restaurants and the harbour where you can take a boat into Como just two stops away. all in all a very enjoyable stay. I can fully recommend a stay here.

This hotel with only one star must have at least three: a surprise discovery in the hills of Cernobbio. First reaction at arrival: here we come back. A pleasant restaurant, very nice room with air-conditioning, parking around the corner, friendly staff, breakfast is enough. Many locals come here to eat and that says enough. A recommendation ,also for people with children. The village on the lake is just 390 stairs below, a beautiful walk. We recommend this hotel from heart and come back here!
