Haveli Dharampura - Unesco Awarded Boutique Heritage Hotel

i have big problem with this hotel , location very bad , just walking long time , in safe place , small rooms , i didn’t stay i just see the room and not stay but they refuse to return back amy thing

However, the journey to reach this haven is an adventure in itself. The closest transportation drops you off about 200 meters away, requiring a walk through narrow, winding alleys. The hotel itself exudes charm and character, but certain aspects left me wanting. The breakfast spread was disappointingly limited, lacking variety and failing to impress. Additionally, the room I stayed in was plagued by flies, especially at night. While this may be unavoidable in such a location, it did detract from the overall comfort. Despite these drawbacks, the staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, always ready to assist with a smile. The hotel's unique architecture and ambiance offered a glimpse into the past, making it a truly memorable experience. However, it's important to note that the property is not disabled-friendly, with high stairs and narrow passageways posing significant challenges for those with mobility issues. Overall, Haveli Dharampura is a captivating experience for those seeking an authentic taste of Old Delhi's heritage. However, it's important to be aware of its limitations regarding accessibility and certain amenities before booking your stay.

The staff was lovely, and the building is amazingly beautiful. When you walk out of the hotel you are smack dab in the heart of the Chandni Chowk market.

What an amazing experience! My flight got cancelled and decided to spend Diwali in Old Delhi. I was guided to this hotel and didn’t question it. Make sure you call the hotel if you are lost as you can’t access it with a car. You need to walk there with your luggage. I had a civilian carrying my luggage and I tipped him well. The hotel provides transportation which I didn’t know. I used uber as it was cheaper. The staff and managers are delightful. The food is good, they even made me a simple plate of rice, veggies and chicken! Loved it. The room is stunning and the energy here is very peaceful. It’s walking distance to many temples and the flea markets. You can walk solo as it is a safe area. Everyone is there to help and guide you. The breakfast is included and very good. The view from the rooftop is breathtaking especially during sunset when kites are flying in the sky. They have an Indian show performance at night as well. I highly recommend this hotel for a full experience. Thank you Haveli team for this amazing stay!!!

Walking to the hotel was part of the eye-opening Delhi experience that hit our senses and we were totally unprepared for the wonderful calming and welcoming interior of the hotel. It was a fantastic start to our stay in India. The staff made sure we were always well looked after and the service and quality of food and amenities were excellent. Thank you so much for helping to make our holiday so memorable.

We loved our stay at this unique Haveli right in the heart of the old city and a short walk to the red fort and the Jama Masjid mosque. It has been beautifully restored and provides a glimpse of murghal life. Attempting to fly a kite and watching flocks of pigeons going for their evening flight was a highlight as was the view across the rooftops to the mosque lit up at night. Food was superb too.

We chose this hotel for its location in the centre of Old Delhi. The building and hotel are an oasis of calm in an insanely busy area of Delhi. The problem is that they are selling themselves as a luxury boutique hotel but the service is appalling. The front desk are extremely dismissive and are not interested in any reasonable form of customer interaction. They do not do room service so you have to go downstairs to fetch any drinks you want. Their prices for services and drinks are ridiculous. They charge 750 rupees (£7) for a small bottle of beer but won’t bring it to your room. I needed water so went downstairs to the restaurant where the manager seemed to be annoyed when I asked for a bottle of water. He reluctantly got me a bottle and when I gave him a 500 rupee note (£4.60) expecting some change he dismissed me saying the change was so little it was not worth getting for me. 500 rupees!!! A sealed bottle of water from a good source is only 40 rupees (£0.37). They charge 4000 rupees (£37) for a taxi to the airport when an Uber is only 650 rupees (£6). They are relying on Western tourists who have no idea how much things cost locally. Very strange hotel with a lack of basic hotel amenities staffed by a surly management team.

Charming hotel with lots of character. The complimentary tea was a nice touch. The location is perfect for sightseeing and exploring. We clicked so many beautiful pictures on the gorgeous rooftop terrace. It really made our Delhi vacation fun.

Beautiful hotel in a converted Manor House on the edge of Chandni Chowk. Like a peaceful oasis from the madness of the lanes outside, we were welcomed with bindis and beads. Our room was spacious, very clean and comfortable, with super effective aircon, you needed the duvet at night. Rooms look out over a central courtyard where the restaurant is, so it’s a little noisy but quiet by 10ish. Be aware the hotel offers cars but charges x10 the rate of an Uber which are easy to use in Delhi.
