Before starting the holiday I thought that, once we had finished, I could write a positive or at least mediocre review but unfortunately, today, during the return trip I find myself writing this truly zero-star review (and I was kind!). I went to this facility for a short holiday lasting two nights and three days, after booking through a travel agency about a month before. When we arrived, we found the door closed. And here we started off badly, given that the facility in question had been notified of our arrival around 10pm. When, after a few phone calls to the numbers provided to us, the manager of the facility finally answered us. And she told us that our room was not available, that they had tried to contact us to cancel the reservation because they had overbooked (NO ONE CONTACTED ME BY PHONE OR EMAIL AND NOT EVEN THE TRAVEL AGENCY WAS CONTACTED) and, since they had not been able to contact me, they said that they did not know whether we would actually arrive or not. After that, he tells us that if we want to stay he has a single "spare" room available located in the basement and therefore without windows except one in the bathroom; and that the following morning he would have put us in the normal room. We, given the late hour and the not very recommendable area where the b&b is located, decided to accept the room without windows anyway and move to the normal room in the morning. Entering the room without windows you can immediately smell a very unpleasant smell almost like sewerage, the sheets and towels were the cleanest things. In the services offered it is written that soap and shampoo are provided as in all hotels normally.. and instead being able to use them would have been very nice, the little soap that was present was contained in a rusty and strictly blocked wall-mounted soap dish.. Not to mention the shower: loose tiles, rusty handles. In the morning we go upstairs, a sort of attic, for breakfast and here too a nice veil of silence would be needed: instant coffee or a pay machine (factory style), mostly packaged croissants and those from the pastry shop were perhaps a couple of days old; rust on the cutlery provided for breakfast, juices in jugs without any label of flavor or expiry date (I would say according to HACCP regulations next time); the salami in the refrigerator was also fresh, perhaps a few days old and in any case of poor quality. We decide to sit down and find all the tablecloths with at least one dirty stain... but then again perhaps this is the aspect that most distinguishes this b&b. In the morning, going to ask for further explanations at the reception, we are given a new version of explanation for our accommodation, in the opinion of the staff credible, in which they tell us that they had to sit
