Nantipa is a gorgeous resort nestled in the jungle with private suites scattered throughout. Daily we saw wildlife such as monkeys, iguanas and various birds like parakeets. Suites are well appointed with indoor/outdoor showers, nano doors open to a private plunge pool and hammock lounging area. There is a lovely yoga area to start your day. The Manzu restaurant is not to be missed, with fresh locally sourced farm to table ingredients. Shout out to the professional staff, Maikol, Jose, Danny making our stay pleasant. The restaurant is the place to be at sunset with low tables and beanbags type furnishings, a perfect place to watch the setting sun with a cocktail in hand. Only negative would be the beach area directly in front of the resort is rocky and not ideal for swimming, having said that a couple minute walk in either direction is good for that. It is a big surfing beach in which you can walk for miles. The town has several good restaurants within walking distance as well. Highly recommend Nantipa for a relaxing getaway.

unsere letzte station für 5 nächte! wir hatten ein beachbungalow mit eigenem planschpool (no. 3). die unterkunft ist wunderbar, wenn auch ein bisschen kleiner als erwartet. wir halten uns praktisch nur am strand auf, lesen, schlafen, laufen. der inroomservice funktioniert einwandfrei; wir hatten ein verstopftes klo, das nach einem whatsapp umgehend repariert wurde! wir haben ausschliesslich im hoteleigenen restlichen gegessen. am ersten abend wurde unsere bestellung vergessen, danach wars zweimal besser, und dann wieder eher schwierig. es scheint, dass fast täglich die crew ausgewechselt wird. alle sind immer ziemlich hektisch am rumrennen und ins mikro reden, aber passieren tut in der regel nicht viel. ich denke es liegt auch an der küche, die entweder unterbesetzt ist, oder hoch chaotisch ist. wieso sonst muss ich auf meine 2 spiegeleier mit toast heute morgen 30 minuten warten, obwohl gerade nur 6 andere gäste vor ort waren… erwin war der aufmerksamste und beste kellner, er wusste was ich am vorvorabend als digestive getrunken hatte und hat einen absolut perfekten service hingelegt!! die frage bleibt, wieso er als trainee gilt??!

Beautiful location right on the beach. Fabulous pool and clean rooms . I enjoyed our stay but wish there had been more choice in food. Staff were helpful. Downside was going into the town road and pavement dangerous especially at night ! But good choice of restaurants. Banana beach bar food was outstanding , turning left out of the hotel down the beach . We needed a packed breakfast as early start, I understand we had to catch the ferry and a three hour journey but two bread rolls with two shrivelled lettuce leaves, one slice or tomato and a tiny spread of cheese wasn’t inspiring. And an orange juice . Was dropped off at airport SIX Hours before a 10 hrs flight ! Not fun, San Jose Airport has one cafe with awful food no fresh salads , processed food. No seats . Upstairs a coffee machine and that’s it !! So maybe plan your journey if you need healthy food . I would stay again knowing a few restaurants outside and they did have fabulous breakfast and lunch. Dinner was expensive for the quality of food .

The property was fabulous and every staff member was friendly and very attentive to our needs. Everything you need is right there and a short walk to additional restaurants and shops! We ended every day with a beautiful sunset at the beachfront villa!

Superb location directly on the beach. Perfect for sunset cocktails and dinner while enjoying the most amazing views! Service was excellent as was the food. Best fresh ceviche I’ve had in years! Owned and operated by Costa Ricans. Music at the beach restaurant created the perfect vibe to chill, relax with friends, enjoy food and drinks, and truly absorb the Pura Vida!

This hotel had an indépendant restaurant which rarely or not accept outsider guests. After 30mn négociation dealing with the receptionist we could have a table reserved and the food was nice ; we have spend more than 180$ for two but it’s ok. The next day at 9:15 we have asked to access to the bar for a late drink and the same receptionist after information from the bartender didn’t accept our request. It is a evidence this hotel do not need outsider money….

One of the best resorts we have seen. Incredible environment, straight at the beach. Very nice rooms (apartments), very friendly staff, very good quality food. The area around the hotel is still under development and more focused on surf youth. Also the roads are not really up to standards. But the stay itself was magic

Nantipa is beautiful in a place full of beautiful people ! The setting is perfect , the concierge staff are lovely and very helpful . The restaurant is on the beach and the most amazing view especially at sunset with a pina colada ! Their restaurant food does let the hotel down as it's very average . Alonso was very helpful in sorting out a problem we had in the restaurant. The beach in front of the hotel is not good for swimming - it didn't really matter to us as we just walked down the beach - which goes in forever and never that many people . Perfect for surfing - beginners and good surfers . It really is a lovely hotel but at holiday time it would be filled with children so not a place to go if you want a quiet time !
