My girlfriend and I stayed the weekend at the hotel and had a fantastic time and could not have asked for more! The hotel views of all of Capri are absolutely stunning, whether from breakfast or from your hotel balcony. We loved our room, the jacuzzi and the bathroom and cleanliness. Amazing! The staff were really friendly at Reception as were those at the restaurant and those who assisted us in collecting our luggage when we arrived and bringing it to us when we left. I would ignore comments from those who have reviewed this hotel complaining about a treacherous or difficult walk. The walk up a steep slope is perfectly manageable at a reasonable pace and yes if you are elderly it would not be ideal but for anyone fit and healthy it is doable and there are two ways of getting to the hotel or for the main piazza and the path many describe is only 1 of 2 ways. The walk up from the beautiful restaurant Da Luigi ai Faraglioni to anywhere in Capri is what I would consider to be a very challenging walk in the heat but that has nothing to do with the Villa Lia Hotel in Capri although I would 100% recommend you all check out this place for food or for swimming as it is truly magical and was our best place we visited.

My experience at Villa Lia was unfortunately disappointing in many ways. The staff was rude and often contradictory to what had been previously communicated. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that reaching the property would be a problem: it's practically impossible to get there by taxi or any other vehicle. The only way is a 20-minute walk, ending with a very steep, curved climb, which is truly strenuous even for those in good physical shape. Given all this, one would expect at least true 5-star amenities, but unfortunately, that wasn't the case. The air conditioning, for example, wasn't individually controlled: the only way to adjust it was to contact reception. The property is not wheelchair accessible, a serious and unacceptable issue for a property that calls itself luxury. Breakfast also fell far short of expectations: the buffet was very poor and the food quality was decidedly inadequate. Furthermore, upon returning to my room after one of the cleaning sessions, I found trash left on the bathroom sink: a detail that speaks volumes about the care and attention paid to guests. Overall, I wonder how this property still maintains its 5-star rating, given the level of service offered. I would not recommend it, especially to those seeking comfort, accessibility, and service that meets their expectations.

The hotel is located in the heights of Capri and has a breathtaking view of the island and the sea. Spectacular sunset from the restaurant terrace. The room is very beautiful and comfortable, we were surprised by the size of the terrace and the quality of the very comfortable and high-quality furniture as well as the jacuzzi. The breakfasts are exceptional, everything is homemade! The restaurant is worthy of a star, we dined there every evening and enjoyed the view and magnificent sunset. The staff take great care of the customers, are attentive and discreet. In short, we highly recommend it!

Terrible. You can not reach the hotel. Everything smells awful. No signs. Looks like 1 star hotel. Far away from 1000€ per night. Really dangerous. You can not reach with taxi. Have to walk for 20 minutes with suitcases. You can find you want to work out

The hotel is far away from 5 stsrs rating: No acces with any means of transport . 30 minutes very steep walk from the piazzeta. No lobby. No real Bar. Steps everywhere with no lift. No place for a suitcase. No value for the room price. No sea view from some sew view rooms.
