It was with incredulity that we were allocated a room, next to the workers rest facilities/restaurant, and with a view of a wall and hedge. The manager was very apologetic and explained that the Mountain View room we booked had not been kept for us, but he would ensure we were moved to the correct room today. Disappointingly, this room does not have “ tranquil werf on their entrance doorstep and private terraces with spectacular unimpeded views of the mountains across the vines or meandering greens” This is misrepresentation, as are the misleading photographs of a spectacular pool that it transpires - is not available to guests staying in our rooms. We are only allowed access to the small pool at the Spa. This is not exclusive as this is for the use of anyone using the Spa. Yesterday, there were no seats left when we looked in. It is unconscionable that you continue to deliberately mislead potential guests. What you do offer is interrupted views of Pollsmore Prison - not mentioned anywhere on your website, or Tripadvisor.

Een prachtig gelegen hotel waar wij kamer 9 kregen in het het hoofdgebouw met de receptie. Een mooie ruime kamer, met niet al teveel privacy. Korte bedjes en airco boven het bed. Niet ècht ons ding. Verder alles zeer keurig, modern en veel kastruimte. Erg mooie tuinen. Heerlijk gegeten in het gezellige en eigentijdse Tryn. Erg goede keuken en enthousiaste bediening. Hier de volgende ochtend ook buiten het ontbijt gebruikt. De t****e avond gegeten in de Bistro 1682 en die vonden wij, buiten het aardige personeel, niet echt aanbevelenswaardig. Dat is jammer! Bepaalde groepen mensen vinden het fantastisch om zichzelf hier uitgebreid te (laten) fotograferen en het lijkt daarom meer een catwalk dan een restaurant. Wij vonden het zwembad waarvan gezegd was dat het voor hotelgasten was erg klein en wat benauwd omdat het zo ingesloten is. Wel goede bedjes en poolservice. Het werd een groot deel van de dag gedomineerd door zeer luidruchtige spagasten die hier een dagje doorbrengen en flessen mousserende wijn laten knallen. Vervelend voor de hotelgasten die op dit toch al kleine zwembadterras een ligbed proberen te vinden en wat rust zoeken.

An incredible hotel. Excellent staff, perfect rooms and the most amazing 2 restaurants. The food in both the Tryn restaurant and the Bistro is first class. Chef Kerry has designed fabulous menus and runs a brilliant kitchen and front of house. Coupled with the wine from the vineyard this is the perfect place to stay and eat Golf at the onsite course is also excellent
