Cape Diamond Boutique Hotel

A very friendly welcome at this hotel. Room a good size but rather dated. The noise from outside was not too bad. The noise from other guests in the corridor outside the bedroom at 3am just awful.

The hotel is fairly okay. Not what I expected and the staff is not hospitable that much.

I would have rated this hotel much higher if I had gotten the room I paid for. I paid for a Royal Room and that is NOT what I got. Very disappointed. I left a note for the manager when I left but so far no luck on getting the difference in money back. Never heard from manager. Otherwise the hotel is fine. The guy running the rooftop area was great. Don’t order the sushi though. They get it from down the street and it is not good. I would have rated this place higher if I had gotten the room I paid for.

We had a lovely stay. Service was excellent. Unfortunately our toilet seemed to have a leak but that can be fixed. The WiFi wasn’t connecting but the receptionist quickly sorted it out for the rooms smart TV. Would definitely stay again, possibly in a slightly better room.

I have traveled to Cape Town for almost 10 years for business and for some reason I have missed this hidden gem. The hotel is located centrally and in walking distance of many great restaurants. There are quite a few security guards that patrol outside the hotel. Now about the hotel itself. The staff are some of the most friendly and professional I have come across in my travels around the world. They have been most helpful and very attentive to the needs of their customers. The rooms are very clean and the beds quite comfortable. The great thing is that the rooms have A/C and the option to open the windows for some fresh air. Every morning the house cleaning lady brings two complimentary bottles of mineral water. There is also a small refrigerator in the rooms and always a good supply of coffee, and tea. They only serve breakfast, however if you want to have a business meeting it is a perfect place to meet as the dining room is usually empty during the day. The only issue which is normal for most hotels located in the city is some noise especially if there are people shouting. My solution was using White Noise on the phone. Overall this has been one of my favorite stays in Cape Town and will now become go-to when in the country.
