I love this backpackers and have stayed there on multiple occasions now. The staff have always been absolute gems and make you feel comfortable from the moment you step inside.
I had an issued with the trip app and had to book a three days stay as three individual nights. The receptionist noticed this before I came and upgraded my room to ensure I was in the same room for all three nights. Personal touches make the biggest difference

L’hôtel est plutôt bien placé à Green Point, pas trop loin des restaurants. J’ai pris une chambre individuelle : superficie suffisante, belle salle de bains avec douche italienne. La pomme de douche est en mode Karcher : elle propulse un mélange d’eau et d’air assez surprenant ! Toute l’équipe de réception est sympa et toujours prête à vous donner de bonnes adresses. Par contre, si vous avez le sommeil léger, passez votre chemin : entre la circulation sur Main Road et les clients qui restent jusqu’à une heure tardive au bar avec un volume sonore assez élevé, n’espérez pas dormir avant 23h / minuit. Rapport qualité/prix très moyen (à 40€ la nuit) puisque j’ai trouvé à une centaine de mètres, un hôtel de bien meilleur standing à un prix inférieur. Je ne recommande pas.

Sunflower Stop is a home away from home. The staff and other guests are friendly and make you feel right at home. The beds are comfortable, the bathrooms just what you need and all the amenities you require. The location is central and safe with shops and restaurants in walking distance.

Dit is een vrij eenvoudige hostel met erg basic voorzieningen. Er waren weinig douches en toiletten. Het ontbijt was ondermaats. Er zijn betere hostels in de buurt. Bovendien ligt het hostel ook tamelijk ver van het stadscentrum, achter het voetbalstadion. Dat is een vrij louche buurt, waardoor je voor je veiligheid een Uber moet nemen.

I called the contact number provided on their website to enquire about group bookings. The receptionist was incredible rude and put the phone down. It does not make sense to me at all why a company would turn down business and especially in such a rude fashion. If this is the way reception is run I am glad we will not be doing business in the future.

L'acceuil est chaleureux. Le principal avantage est l'emplacement. Les espaces extérieurs sont petits. La chambre où nous étions était bruyante a cause de la proximité de la route (2 fois 2 voies). Par contre les autres occupants n'ont pas été bruyants. Large cuisine équipée et 2 frigos pour stocker ses affaires.
