I am so grateful that I found and booked Parker Cottage 18 months ahead for our family group of 15 (grandparents, parents, and children). From pre-arrival emails, to arrival, to departure and everything in betweeen the staff was exceptional. It seemed that nothing was too much for them as they assisted us with everything from dinner reservations and advice, to transportation/tours, to acquiring crutches for my husband when he injured his knee, and grabbing my granddaughter when she fell in the koi pond. The rooms (and I got to see 7 out of 10) are spacious, comfortable, and well appointed. The bathrooms were very nice as well. As has been mentioned many times in other reviews the breakfasts are very ample and delicious with a thoughtful selectin. Many in our group hadn't stayed at a guest house/B&B before and they thought it was wonderful: truly a home away from home. Having the additional space to congregate in the two living rooms, the porch, and the front garden was a real blessing for us. It is an easy walk to the Company's Garden area of Cape Town and a much longer but doable walk to the waterfront area. Ubers worked well when we didn't want to walk. I honestly can find no fault with Paker Cottage and would return there in a heartbeat if ever back in Cape Town.
