The hotel is like a beautiful, small but cosy, mansion. Every little detail is well chosen and interesting here. Good choise of breakfast -some choices of eggs with bacon and fruits. It is appx 15 minutes on foot to the V&A. The area is safe and green.

Klein sympathiek boutiquehotel met een schitterende service, ontbijt en vooral de ligging op 10-15' wandelen van Waterfront. Gelegen in een rustige straat, parkeren van de wagen was geen probleem. Restaurants zelfs dichterbij dan 15'.

Die Cape Diem Lodge ist eine liebevoll renovierte alte südafrikanische Lodge mit wenigen Zimmern. Wir waren in einem Zimmer im neueren Flachdachbau mit Terrasse untergebracht und haben uns da sehr wohl gefühlt. Das kleine Team hat uns umsorgt. Besonders Carli hat uns sehr gut betreut. Flughafentransfer, private Ausflüge und Tischreservierung für das Abendessen hat sie organisiert. So konnten wir in den 7 Tagen unseres Aufenthaltes das meiste was Kapstadt bietet erleben. Wir hatten dazu noch im Mai Glück mit dem Wetter. Wir hatten fast immer blauen Himmel und eine einzigartige Aussicht. Für alle die eine ruhige Unterkunft mit einer guten Betreuung suchen kann ich die Cape Diem Lodge sehr empfehlen.

My wife and I had an absolutely incredible stay at Cape Diem Lodge in early May 2025. Booking was easy, and staff were responsive leading up to our stay with questions like what outlets they had for charging devices. It’s a 20 minute Uber from the airport and a 5 minute Uber from the waterfront. I think it’s possible to walk (and relatively safe in the daytime) but we never did because Uber was so easy and inexpensive. We liked how the hotel was a bit tucked away from the busy street. It also feels very secure, with a large locking gate. You enter a stunning courtyard and beautiful old main building. The breakfast area inside and around the pool is relaxing. Our room was very comfortable. While the bathroom could’ve used a little more love and care, it was clean and still nice. While the hotel is beautiful, what makes this place special is the staff. They are incredibly warm and helpful. They are there for whatever you need. We had not planned anything for our trip but the staff helped us find a driver in the morning to take us to Cape Point and all around for the day. Exceptional customer service! The breakfast was also delicious, and the atmosphere is perfect. We wish we could’ve stayed longer!

Schöne Lodge in fußläufiger Distanz zur VA Waterfront. Sehr guter Service, tolles Zimmer, feiens Frühstück. Alles in allem sehr edel und familiär. Sehr guter Startpunkt für alle Aktivitäten in Kapstadt. Sehr hilfreiche Unterstützung für diverse Buchungen.

From the minute we arrived, we were made to feel welcome. All of the staff were fabulous, with a special mention for Bob, the night manager. The breakfast was delicious, the room comfortable and spotlessly clean.
