The hotel is like a beautiful, small but cosy, mansion. Every little detail is well chosen and interesting here. Good choise of breakfast -some choices of eggs with bacon and fruits. It is appx 15 minutes on foot to the V&A. The area is safe and green.

Great Stay
A lovely greeting from Carly on arrival with the offer of complimentary refreshments and nibbles which was very nice. Parking was excellent as we were able to make use of the garage throughout our stay.
Very comfortable room and bathroom with excellent shower and bath (albeit we didnt use the bath). The only downside was the lack of storage in the room which was a bit tight.
We were offered a late checkout on our room on the last day by Carly which was very useful and appreciated.
Up a pretty steep hill, it is about 15 minutes to walk down to the V&A and other restaurants, plus a Woolworths (M&S) at the end of the street.

Great location. From start to finish the owners and staff were friendly and attentive. Special mention goes to Bob who was wonderful. Would not hesitate to stay here again. Close enough to walk to V&A water front but in a nice quiet area. Rooms are spacious. Breakfast was good.

We really enjoyed staying at this boutique hotel. It is a short uber from the waterfront and an easy downhill walk to numerous restaurants. The owners are on the property and are hands on with everything. The rooms are large and very clean. Their rates are great as well. Highly recommend.

Definitely our favourite place to stay in Cape Town. This was our third visit & there will be more! So relaxing & great pool with sunbeds & sofas to relax with a glass of delicious wine. Staff are super helpful & so welcoming with nothing being too much trouble - Bianca Carli Sam & Bob, & patience & fortunate who all work tirelessly to ensure the five star service.

We stayed at Cape Diem for 4 nights and had a very comfortable stay. We had a lovely welcome from Samuel and all of the staff were friendly and welcoming. Our room was very well equipped but overly bright in the mornings - it could really do with some black out curtains. Breakfast was a little hit & miss. The fresh fruit was often depleted. On the first day my omelette was given to another guest. On 2 occasions my wife's soft poached eggs arrived hard boiled. These things were always rectified but given the limited number of guests it was a little surprising. The location is very quiet and only a short walk from a supermarket & bars. The V&A waterfront is only 10 to 15 minutes walk away.

In prima veilige buurt, aan een rustige eenrichtingsverkeer straat. Overdag goed te lopen in de buurt, als het donker is gewoon uber pakken, net als in de rest van de stad. Lekker zwembad en de gehele dag zon. Ontbijt prima, iets minder uitgebreid dan in sommige andere verblijven tijdens onze trop. Ook gedurende de dag een vrij beperkte kaart waardoor je niet snel de gehele dag blijft hangen. Wel complimentary wijn elke middag! Aardig personeel. Extra vermelding voor Bob, wat een aardige man, doet echt zijn best om je verblijf nog net even wat beter te maken dan dat het al is! Fijn dat er een douche is die je op de laatste dag kan gebruiken zodat je de laatste uurtjes zuid afrikaanse zon nog mee kan pakken op de dag van vertrek. Minpuntkje: Kamer bij de ontbijtruimte wel erg gehorig sochtends, verder wel allemaal heel netjes en schoon.

Our introduction to South Africa began here and what a perfect way to start. This historic house has been modernised with taste, sophistication and understated elegance… we loved it. Our room was spacious with a 2 basin en suite bathroom and such a comfortable bed. It was so peaceful and our sleep was undisturbed. The garden is beautifully landscaped with a lovely pool. Breakfast was taken on the sunny verandah or indoors if preferred and included a cooked breakfast made to order. All the staff, Samuel, Fortune, Melinda, Patience and Bob were super helpful and delightful. And there’s a welcome glass of wine to get you off to the best start! Location for the Waterfront, Table Mountain and getting out to Camps Bay is excellent. We can’t wait to return!
