Very nice atmosphere and all the staff is friendly. The decor is very nice, from the moment I walked in I kept marvelling at the decor. I like the co working, there’s hot seats for anyone to use. The location is very convenient and close to the VnA. Would recommend.

I had the absolute pleasure of staying at The Old Foundry Hotel in Cape Town, and I must say – what an incredible experience! From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed with such warmth and professionalism by the staff, who went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and memorable.

We absolutely loved our stay at the hotel! We were immediately struck by the decor, which is thoughtful and super fun. The location is convenient and you can easily walk 10 minutes to a variety of shops and eateries. And the staff was friendly and accommodating of our needs. Would absolutely stay here again!

Very disappointing customer service. Arrived at hotel to find luggage storage is behind a largely unmanned reception desk right by the front door. Multiple offices in the building that are not part of the hotel. Arrived to our room to find the front door wouldn’t lock and that one of the windows leading onto an outside stair case would not shut/ lock. Also the bath drainage system was blocked and flooded the bathroom. Had to be moved to a smaller room without the facilities we booked for our 2 night stay. Promised a refund for the first night and reduced rate for the second night but still chasing this 2 months later. Multiple emails and messages sent to just be told that they will chase with the finance team. Would never stay here again or at an Ideas Cartel Hotel. Avoid. Much nicer places to stay around V&A.

Quarto estava sem limpeza do lixo do banheiro, com cheiro forte. Enviamos mensagem e nao fomos atendidos, colocamos o lixo no corredor e mesmo assim nao tivemos a prestação de serviços e a atenção e também nao devolveram o lixo ao banheiro.
O local é legal, diferente e bem decorado, mas a experiência com o lixo existente no checkin e durante nao foi legal.

I love the repurposing of old buildings, and The Old Foundry has done this with great practical and aesthetic execution. The room was small, but we knew this when we booked. It had all the amenities we needed, including Africology products in the bathroom. The breakfast was excellent and the staff friendly, helpful and responsive to every need.
