The Clarendon - Fresnaye

We stayed at The Clarendon Hotel Fresnaye for five nights in mid-June (June 11 to 16), and we were so pleasantly surprised. It was booked by our tour operator, so we didn’t really know what to expect — but it turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip! The hotel itself is really charming. It has a boutique feel, not too many rooms, which made it feel quiet and peaceful. Our room was beautiful — super spacious and comfortable, with a nice atmosphere. What made our stay truly memorable though was the service. We were taken care of by Gift and Daud, and they were both absolutely amazing. We’d see them first thing in the morning at breakfast and they were still around in the evening — always kind, helpful, and in a great mood. They really went out of their way to make us feel welcome and taken care of. A special shoutout to Gift, who helped us get a last-minute reservation at FYN, a really popular restaurant in Cape Town that we had been wanting to try. It was fully booked, but Gift called them directly, told them we were VIP guests, and somehow managed to get us a table. Thanks to him, we had a wonderful evening! We would definitely recommend this hotel — the location is great, the setting is beautiful, and the staff made it feel like home. A big thank you again to Gift and Daud for making our stay so special.

The Clarendon Fresnaye is a very special place. The rooms are so tasteful and comfortable. The Bed (plus pillows) are superior ensuring a sound sleep. Importantly - the WIFI was strong which was important as I needed to work from my room. The staff really take care of you. I was traveling solo so felt very safe and taken care of. I especially liked that every night my bed was turned down and a fluffy water bottle was put in my room - nice touch as I stayed in Winter. What a beautiful stay - cant recommend this place enough!

Our stay at Clarendon Fresnaye was outstanding. From checking in to checking out, the service level was top notch. The rooms were spotless and large, and the breakfast was phenomenal with plenty of choices. Michalyn and Gift were the perfect hosts, making sure we had everything we needed. Would highly recommend!

Very nice and small hotel. The personal was always kind and helpful. The breakfast was good, we were sitting on a lovely terrasse. Short walking distance to a food market and some restaurants with ocean view. We can really recommend to stay there.

We spent three nights at the Clarendon and had a great family time there! Very kind staff, good position, big and clean room, two nice swimming pools and excellent breakfast- a great place to start from to discover Cape Town and surrounding!
