Quite simply, this is a world-class hotel well deserving its status. Every element of our stay was inpeccable, from the wonderfully renovated and maintained room and public areas, wonderful breakfast, and perfect spa treatment. Not to mention an elegant afternoon tea and dinner which we also enjoyed. The grounds are well kept, and the pool area is a wonderful retreat in which to relax : it's an oasis in the city. However, what sets the Nellie apart from every single hotel I've stayed in around the world is the staff. When we checked in, we felt like family, like we had returned home. And return, we most definitely will. Thank you to Kelly for your fantastic attention to detail on customer care, and to every single member of the team we interacted with, there are too many to mention, but thank you to you all. From the moment we checked in until the moment we checked out, every member of staff had complete focus on the customer. This isn't stuffy customer service - it's high attention to detail delivered with personality. And it's fantastic. Look forward to visiting again. Thank you all so much.

We were so blown away by our time at Mount Nelson. A stunning, antique property with so much history and style. The service from the staff was some of the best I’ve ever experienced anywhere in the world.

I had a couple of incredible tennis lessons with Barkie at the Mount Nelson Hotel in Cape Town. Barkie is not only charming but also highly knowledgeable, with a wealth of experience and fascinating stories about meeting some of the sport’s greats. His clear instruction and personalised tips made the session enjoyable and productive. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to refine your skills, Barkie’s passion for tennis and engaging teaching style will leave you inspired. Highly recommended!

Experienced an amazing afternoon tea service at the hotel. The ambience was lovely, the service exceptional and the assortment of treats just divine. Thuli was very attentive, friendly and helped make the entire experience a memorable one. Craig's knowledge of the different teas and recommendations for pairing was fantastic. Definitely a must do when in Cape Town.
