I have stayed at a few hotels in Cape May over the years. The Grand was a good stay all in all. We stayed in the townhouses which have an upstairs with two queen beds and kitchen down stairs. We feel the mattresses could be updated. The one I was using had a slope to it and it wasnt the most comfortable but I delt with it. The downstairs bathroom toilet was very slow to flush which we did tell them about. It was very clean and all in all we would stay again because of pools and restaurant on site. Food was good. Location was good too. I have stayed at better in Cape May but The Grand is a nice hotel I just feel rooms need new mattresses and the toliet looked at.

We stayed in a bilevel townhouse suite. The space was great, with kitchenette, 2 bathrooms, 2 comfortable double beds on the upper level (plus a foldout sofa on the lower floor), and a nice sized balcony with 2 loungers. Room Amenities were great: full sized refrig and freezer, daily room cleaning, plenty of towels and toiletries, and duo Keurig machine that could brew a pot or take a coffee pod. The microwave was a good size too. We took advantage of the hotel amenities: free bike use (including helmet and lock), indoor and outdoor pools kept sparkling, excellent convenient beach service across the street (2 loungers and an umbrella per room), beach tags included! There were daily special events (a magician, etc). Plenty of common spaces that you could utilize. Staff was hardworking and efficient—property upkeep was very good. Great location in town, with lots of walking-distance shops and restaurants. This was our first stay at the Grand Hotel, and we would absolutely return and recommend to others.

Have been coming to The Grand for several years and always enjoy our stay! Clean, accommodating, and perfect beach access right across the street. Indoor and outdoor pool, beach umbrellas and loungers provided... can't beat it!

Second visit. We enjoy the luxury of not having to bring anything on the beach or to pool except sunscreen. They provide towels, lounge chairs, umbrellas and beach passes. You can pay for cabana instead of umbrella. You can order food and get snacks and drinks at the beach and pool including alcoholic (pool only). The mid week special will give you a gift card to pay for pool and beach food and/or whale-dolphin watching boat trip (1 ticket), hemingways on premise restaurant, or gift shop. There is an indoor pool and jacuzzi with plenty of lounge chairs. Gift shop prices better than in town. Has anything you need including beer, wine, liquor, pool/beach toys, souvenirs, clothing, hot coffee, and much more. The room is nice but toilet paper roll located almost on floor. Fridge and freezer in room. Beautiful premises. Great spot with beach right there. Quiet part of ocean avenue with less foot and car traffic than the areas with food, lots of biking (hotel lends bikes) with own bike lane on street. Will need to use park mobile if you drive into restaurant shopping area. Can see dolphins from beach. Did not use the arcade or gym but they have.

Location, location location! Close enough to town to walk or use a free bicycle from the hotel. Far enough away that peace and quiet are abound. 2 Excellent pools, hot tub, Hemingway's bar and restaurant, every amenity working and in great nick. The room itself was a nice serviceable room which came in our case with a welcome goody bag, a small bath and kitchenette and a very well appointed sleeping area with a table and 2 chairs. MOST rooms have a very good view of the ocean and speaking of ocean, they have a cordoned off area of the beach with umbrellas and chairs for the hotel guests. Cabanas can be rented by the hour from the front desk and the beach has a shack selling snacks and soft drinks so you do not have to go back to the hotel at all. EVERY member of staff was great, saw one of the front end managers de-escalate a potential "Karen" situation with aplomb. Don't lose your beach tags or towel cards though. Best bet is to book directly with the hotel for some perks and we took advantage of the day pass for a friend of ours to enjoy the amenities. It is on the higher end price-wise per night BUT super well worth it. I am already pestering the significant other for their schedule for Summer 2026 to book there again.

We came as for the first time as a family after my dad suddenly passed away in 2024. This was our first family vacation since he has been gone and we were hopeful for everything to be totally smooth. There were a few hiccups, but with the biggest hiccup, Katie at the front desk made everything totally better and handled it with nothing but grace and poise. She is a HUGE asset to The Grand’s customer service as well as their customer service. Thank you so much Katie for making a very hard situation become such a memorable one.
