The Queen Victoria

This was our 16th stay at the Queen Victoria. This time we stayed in the Benjamin Disraeli room. We had not stayed in that room before. As with the previous 15 years, the room was extremely comfortable and clean. The staff was very accommodating, helpful, and friendly. The staff does a nice job of getting to know the guests. This is very much appreciated. Thank you for helping to make our annual beach trip one that was a pure joy. See you next summer. Scott and Maureen Smith

We’ve been staying at the Queen Victoria for eight consecutive years now, and it’s always been a great experience. Tracy, our friendly check-in agent, made sure our room was ready upon arrival, and it’s always clean and tidy thanks to the very nice and friendly housekeepers. I especially love the new bikes that I ride every morning. The breakfast is always a bit of a letdown for me, though. They could definitely add scrambled eggs, pancakes, and bacon to the menu . If you do like the casserole, you can resort to bagels, toast, muffins, and hard-boiled eggs. Those are okay, but we think they should step up their game. On the plus side, they have complimentary soda, water, ice, coffee and tea along with beach chairs and towels, and they always have afternoon snacks. We love to come back from the beach late afternoon to stock up on their homemade cookies and sweets, which we bring back to the beach to enjoy. We missed Ashley, who was too busy working on the new building that they purchased this year. Ashley was always a great hostess, and we miss having someone to chat with. However, we didn’t see Jamie, the manager, who should have walked around and greeted the guests and asked if everything was going well. Anne, was very accommodating and helped me with my favorite cereal along making sure I had enough food and coffee. Despite the minor issues, we’re booked for next year.

Great place to stay Very good experience, great place, and that Cape May area is extremely beautiful

Staff was great, the BNB itself is amazing but could use a little more attentiveness to details and a little more cleanliness. The breakfast was pretty badly presented and options never changed. Food was flavorless and seemed as if it sat there for a very long time. They had the food in a plain old dish on a hot plate covered in aluminum foil…that’s not exactly inviting and loses its elegance when you expect it look like how you’d be served in a pretty Victorian home. Disappointing to say the least. The area….AMAZING!! The shops and dining options….AMAZING!!! Safe , clean, and surrounding homes are stunning!! Two blocks from the water…..Cape May will definitely be visited again…but will def try a different BNB in the surrounding area.

My wife and I have been going every year during the off season in March for 14 years for our respective birthdays and we continue to love it. It is our place of quiet and peace and relaxation. The owners have changed but the staff are still attentive and very helpful. If there was one minor recommendation would be to offer more gluten and dairy items for breakfast. I love the breakfast that is offered but my wife has dietary restrictions. Other than that, the rooms are beautiful the amenities are fabulous including well maintained bicycles. If you are looking for a romantic getaway, there is no place I would recommend higher.

Beautiful Victorian interior and furnishings. Perfectly clean and tidy. Staff were accommodating and friendly. Oh, and the breakfast was quite the spread! Can’t wait to go back. -Donny
