Perfect location to see everything in Cape May, the Mason Cottage is run by a welcoming and hospitable couple who do everything they can to make your visit as pleasant as possible. Could not recommend these folks more highly! We will be back!

The location is excellent - one block to the beach and very close to the pedestrian mall. The room we stayed in was well appointed and very clean but we found the service lacking. There are 2 breakfast seatings but upon arrival we were told we’d been assigned the later seating at 9:30 am even though we’re early risers. There is no daily room service available. We were there for 3 nights and no one came into the room to do basic things like empty the trash cans the entire time we were there or inquire whether we needed anything. We left a small item behind and were told it could be mailed to us but we would have to pay $10 “handling fee” on top of the postage (which is appropriate). All in all a lovely property but as frequent Cape May visitors we’ve found other b&bs to be much more service-friendly.

This was our first time stay in in Cape May and in a B&B, and I can only tell you that we were totally happy with every single part of our getaway! We cannot wait to go back!! The Mason Cottage was out of a storybook and captured the whole Cape May feel. The staff - Patti & Christine were great! The town of Cape May is great for people of all ages-always something to do. Highly Recommended

We made a spur-of-the-moment trip during the week between Christmas and New Years and had a wonderful visit. With little advance notice, Patti prepared a delicious gluten-free breakfast that was outstanding. The Mason was beautifully decorated for Christmas, as were many of the B&Bs in the area. What a delight - it was our first trip to Cape May and when we return it will be to the Mason. Our oceanfront room had a magnificent view and the location of the Mason is in a centrally located area perfect for walking most everywhere.

This was my second stay at the Mason Cottage, this time as a single, and I enjoyed it just as much this time around! The inn's location is perfect, close to everything. My last stay I had The Davis Suite since I was accompanied by my boyfriend, but this time around as a solo I chose the Madison Room, which was really charming and is on the 2nd floor. There is a double bed which is comfortable and situated right near two of 3 very long windows and a small television near the bed. There is a small alcove with a desk, and a cozy bathroom with a stall shower. I was there for 2 nights, which somehow went by so quickly! The inn itself is lovely, and Patti's afternoon snacks and gourmet breakfasts are another incentive for returning to The Mason Cottage; she is personable & pleasant and makes all of her guests feel very welcome! Whether traveling as a couple or a single, I won't stay anywhere else in Cape May!

What an amazing stay I had at the Mason Cottage! I love Cape May and have had the opportunity to stay at other bed and breakfasts previously. However, my stay at the Mason Cottage, by far was my best experience! I was greeted by the innkeepers, Amy and Jeff, with a friendly smile. I stayed in the Columbia room which was extremely clean and spacious. It was really cozy! The food was out of this world! We were served a fruit parfait, a berry cinnamon baked casserole with a homemade Jersey blueberry drizzle. The Bloody Mary bar was a nice touch too. ;) I really can’t wait to go back... Thanks Amy and Jeff for making my vacation feel cozy- like a home away from home but also luxurious with great servous, an immaculate room/BnB, and excellent food. I’ll be seeing you soon!

My boyfriend and I went and it was one of the best experiences staying somewhere. The staff was extremely friendly and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was exceptional. We would highly recommend it at The Mason as the rooms were fantastic and the food was even better. This experience was out of this world and something I have never would experienced if we picked a hotel instead. The location is also great as it is close to the beach and Washington street.

From the moment you are greeted at the door you feel welcomed and at home! We had a wonderful two nights stay. Great Great location - easy walk to the beach and restaurants and shopping. Loved sitting on the front porch in the rocking chairs with a glass of wine. Best organized coffee station, ever! Breakfast was beautifully prepared and served.
