When we arrived in the room (very small and located at the end of the 1st floor, with a view of the roof, shower inside the bedroom and WC at the entrance) we found it full of ants and insects, both alive and dead) we asked for explanations given that the staff were knowledgeable and had sprinkled the room and toilet with powder to kill the ants. Answer: At the moment we do not have other rooms available for a change and they offer us a change of hotel about a kilometer away PAESTUM INN BEACH RESORTE 4 stars instead of 5 stars of the MEC PAESTUM or alternatively they would have given us something back. In the end we accepted, even though the location was outside the town and a type suitable for the sea. Obviously it wasn't what I wanted and less than what I requested and paid for. No refunds from the property. Definitely avoid next time.

Quest'anno ho scoperto con mia moglie questa splendida realtà vicinissima al Parco archeologico di Paestum ma direi anche al mare 50 metri . Ebbene ho vissuto in questa meravigliosa struttura vista mare 4 splendidi week end all'insegna del relax del riposo e del gustare oltre la rigogliosa natura le piante i pini marittimi e lo stupendo mare con una spiaggia ampia e fondale basso per diversi metri(adatto quindi a bambini ed a chi non da nuotare benissimo )lo splendido hotel pulitissimo e profumato la spettacolare piscina per grandi e piccini ed il particolare gusto d'arredo per finire all'ottimo ristorante pranzo/cena con giusto rapporto qualità prezzo servizio. Sono diventato oramai un ospite assiduo di questa bellissima location dove ho potuto anche apprezzare la cordialita' e professionalità dei proprietari Signori Acanfora nonché Cosimo ed Alfredo alla reception Il Maitre di sala Sergio con Emanuele Andrea e e tutto lo staff! !! veramente persone eccezionali!! ai quali rivolgo un grazie di cuore. Ho parcheggiato la vettura nel parcheggio gratuito il venerdì pomeriggio e l'ho ripresa di partenza il lunedì pomeriggio...non.ho avuto ne voglia ne bisogno di cercare altro..... Ci rivediamo prestissimo!!

Insgesamt eigentlich ein schönes Hotel aber sehr viel Raum, Fläche und Ausstattung lediglich für die Optik ohne jeglichen Nutzen. Das Design ersetzt die Zweckmäßigkeit. Im Folgenden wird ein 5* Hotel bewertet! Positiv: Freies Parken, schönes großes Zimmer, sehr gutes Bett, angenehm großes Bad, schöner Balkon mit Meerblick, Shuttle zum 1km entfernten Hotelstrand mit Liegen und Schirm kostenlos. Negativ: Für 5 Sterne war die Ausstattung im (hellhörigen) Zimmer und Bad sehr dürftig, nur ein (unbequemer) Stuhl, keine (kostenlose)Wasserflasche, kein Kaffeeautomat, kein Schuhlöffel, kein Bodylotion, keine Tissuetücher, Plastikzahnbecher, Badeschlappen ja, Bademantel nein, wiederholte Einwahl ins WLAN erforderlich. Für 5 Sterne ebenfalls ein sehr bescheidenes Frühstück: Minimale Brotauswahl, Käse, Wurst und Schinken ok, aber Rühreier nur gegen 6,00 € Aufpreis, 3 farbige Zuckerwassersäfte, frischer O-Saft nur gegen 5,00 € Aufpreis, Ananas und Melone frisch sonst Dosenobst. Am Pool nur wenige Liegen mit Sonnenschirm, an der Längsseite viele Liegen ohne Sonnenschutz, Pooltücher kosten je 3,00 € extra. Keine Toilette am Poolbereich. Am Strand: Der Kiosk dort bietet nur Getränke, die Dusche kostet Gebühr.

Das Hotel ist sehr schön, sauber. Lage top! Wir waren eine grosse freundliche Gruppe. Das Hotelpersonal war vom Receptionist bis zum Barmann extrem unfreundlich, „sehr an der Grenze zu unverschämt“, dass war auch die Meinung aller mitgereisten Gäste. Für ein freundliches Lächeln hätte man wohl noch bezahlen müssen. Ich kann diese Hotel diesbezüglich nicht empfehlen. Ich würde nie mehr hin gehen. Die einzige freundliche Person, war ein sehr netter Gärtner/Portier, dieser hat sich das Trinkgeld auch verdient, alle anderen waren „No Go“ schade!

My husband and I have just returned from a two week holiday at the Mec Paestum Hotel . This is a lovely hotel. Spacious room and bathroom and a fabulous sea view. There were no coffee making facilities in the room and the shower was over a jacuzzi bath which was quite difficult for a couple of almost eighty year olds to clamber into. We were on bed and breakfast basis which suits us as we like to dine in local restaurants. Towels were changed daily and the hotel was spotlessly clean. The pool area was great and although not a lot of sun beds no one pre booked by leaving towels. We spent all our time at the pool and had the occasional lunch in the hotel which was ok. Not much of a choice for my veggie husband. There is also a large jacuzzi on the terrace with loads of sunbeds and deck chairs around the area. Pool towels were free for first one. It cost 3euros each time you changed them. There was also a 3euros charge for pool service if you wanted drinks poolside, which I thought strange for a 5 * hotel. Breakfast was very continental and if you wanted something hot, you paid extra for it. Again, strange for a 5* hotel. The staff were very diligent and reception staff very helpful. The hotel also ran a shuttle service to their beach on a regular basis. There was no entertainment at the hotel which could have been because the season had not started. Maybe in July?

L unica cosa che rispecchia un 5 stelle sono i prezzi, per il resto si puo considerare un buon 4 stelle, camere spaziose ma con troppe toppe e rappezzi di intonaco vicino i muri, colazione con poca varieta di dolci e l 80% delle pietanze calde sono a pagamento.. la spiaggia che offrono inclusa nel soggiorno un disastro, sembrava un lido abbandonato , astento 1 doccia… la vera nota positiva sono le 3 piscine , li vale veramente la pena trascorrere l intera giornata.. personale di sala e bar molto cordiali.
