We visited this same hotel last year and wrote a 5 star excellent review. Things changed and not for the better. Our week long stay was not entirely enjoyable. While the hotel retains some of the quality, the quality of service and room standards has gone down noticibly. Specifically, wait staff is not attentive as before and even during non peak dining hours, wait times for the first greeting and offer of a drink were long. The food was well done but taste varied between lunch and dinner, dinner being the better meal selecting the same dish. We asked 3 times for the room to be cleaned while we took a break from work. The room was not cleaned when we returned. After ordering room service, tray pick up took 3 hours. Then, when we called back to insist they remove the tray, the restaurant called our room within 5 minutes to find out where thier coffee and not milk thermos was and insisted on knowing exactly what was in the room still. We felt like inmates rather than guests. The room we were in for a week was nothing like the room on the same floor on our first trip. Cheap artificial wood TV shelves replace beautiful dressers and the room felt like a holiday inn rather than an elegant hotel like our last trip. The highlight of our stay was Rosemarie (we think) in housekeeping. She's a delight and obviously a remanent of the old days. Alberto and Taylor in the dining room were the only waiters who made us feel comfortable. One waitress moved around so quickly, we were holding our glasses to be sure they were not taken. Very nervous way of serving tables. Another waitress took so long to serve us with guests, I had to get up 3 times to find help. The bell captains were also excellent and helped greatly. (Maybe they should be put in charge of the front desk and dining room!) If you need to stay in Porto Alegre, you'll want to stay here but be prepared and if you stayed before as we did, prepare yourself for the changes in room quality and service level. Not sure what happened but it's not the same place anymore.

Breakfast is relatively good. Hotel location is average. It is not safe at night nearby. This is the case in this country. It is recommended not to go out and hang out at night. Not far from the airport!

If you travel for fun, then the price and the enviromento is fine.But if you travel for business, this is one of the worst hotel I have experience, the receptionist has really bad atitude, they dont speak english and they descriminate foreigners. Second, they dont know how to make an invoice correctly with the CNPJ. They misspelled the name or not putting the whole adress correctly. And when i ask to change, they complain and give a bad atittude. I will not reserve this hotel for any of my clientes anymore. If the hotel wants to grow, the receptionists need to receive proper training once in a while. But

New and comfortable, super functional hotel with some bathroom facilities...Parking with manufacturer and charged part (R$21,00 per day), tasty breakfast and variety but tb charged part (R$30, 00 per person). In my view, if you can add the costs of parking and breakfast can stay in a hotel well better with this value!! I didn't find a good cost x benefit! TB reception officials could be more sympathetic, Like the male dry staff!

The room is comfortable (Ap. 1008), but they could put some more cabins, we also missed cabinets. WiFi works perfectly. Breakfast is honest, but the restaurant and room service are expensive for what they offer. In the bathroom, it would be interesting to put the toilet paper door near the sanitary vase and to put in the box a ”panel or nick” to support shampoos.

When I called and asked about the parking, I was informed that the hotel offered 6 free vacancies in front of the hotel, and I agreed with the open parking next door. But if you need to get out of the car, you will have to get to the parking stay and, when you come back, you will have to take a new ticket, paying another use of the parking, which was not reported by the attendant. In the case I paid 46 reals in parking, not compensating the value of the accommodation, because I had to leave only once. For those who go by car and need to locomote in Porto, the low cost of the hotel ends up, in the package, more expensive than in other hotels in the region.

The hotel is just opposite the Alegre Port bus stop. It is especially suitable for passengers in transit. It is known that there are no trains in Brazil. Long-distance buses are the main means of transportation from the state capital to the cities in various regions. There are some clocks in the lobby that look like some ages and look very good. The reception English at the front desk was not bad in Brazil, and the service was very warm. The room is neat and tidy. Breakfast is on the back of the three-way, more typical Brazilian breakfast.

This shop is one of the most cost-effective hotels in Porto Alegre. I have stayed there every year since my business trip in 2013, because the first time I didn’t know it was in another hotel, this hotel is more suitable for business and holiday families. There is a kitchen, the breakfast is really invincible and delicious, the new restaurant moved to the street side, the street view is superb! There is a memorial park next to it, and there are various roadside fruit stalls. It is very safe and you can walk around. It feels like a small European town! The steak of the hotel is good, and the restaurant becomes a bar for drinking in the evening!

I had been hosting at Hotel Plaza São Rafael several times, and I like the hotel to the memory of his love and the city of Porto Alegre since I was a child. However, at this last occasion I found several indices of a reversal in the quality of the hosting, and the staff in general, very heartily and well trained, but some others, clearly without vocation for the hotel industry. In the last place I stayed in a very old room and needed a pension, the bathroom boxing, unexplainedly, was located at the highest point of the floor, causing water accumulation and extravagation outside the boxing at each bathroom. Very uncomfortable dressers. When you arrived at the hotel and until the next day, the card recording system for accessing apartments was not working, which required you to go to the reception every time you were absent to attend a staff member to accompany you until the The hotel was a very good hotel, and the hotel was a good hotel. The parking system is a separate chapter, the worst EPark service I had the unfortunate opportunity to meet all the world. Whenever you need to leave your car, you would have to wait 20 to 30 minutes at the hotel entrance, the impression is that they would pick up your car in another municipality. But to be fair, I emphasise the cordiality and professionalism of all staff at the reception centre, the very good bed and the cleaning of the very good environments.

Stayed at Intercity Gravitai for a few weeks and the overall service was superb. Food was great, and the staff were all super friendly and accomodating. I will miss their welcoming smiles and attentiveness. Special shout out to Diorge, David, Camila and Dion at icafe, and also to Claudic who cleaned my room everyday and made sure I was comfortable.
