Very nice, small hotel with very friendly staff and a great location! Rooms are always clean and breakfast is good. The only downside was that our room was very noisy as it was right at the back wall of the kitchen and it was sometimes quite loud in the mornings ;)... but we were early risers anyway!

Small, quiet hotel, in a great location for trips to Madeira. If you don't book half board here, you're missing out. We had 14 dinners and there wasn't a single thing we didn't like. We would book this hotel again and again.

Nice little hotel, right on a steep slope with a view of the sea. The clean room, with a sea view and its own terrace, had everything you need for a short stay. The large communal terrace, which belongs to the hotel's own restaurant, offers a great view of the sea, a great place to have breakfast or a sundowner. Nice, uncomplicated reception and check-in. I skipped breakfast, so I can't say anything about that. The evening meal in the hotel's own restaurant was delicious, everything was freshly prepared. You should definitely make a reservation, as the restaurant is very busy. Fair value for money.

We were very impressed from the very first moment. We had booked a double room and were given a beautifully located small apartment on 2 floors. The staff at the reception and in the restaurant, as well as the cleaning staff, were all very friendly, helpful and competent. The food in the restaurant was excellent, the breakfast buffet was simple but sufficient as a basis for our daily trips. We were also lucky enough to have breakfast and dinner on the stunning Atlantic terrace every day. We took public transport from Funchal every day and were well advised to do so. The hotel is a little insider tip for guests who want to enjoy the peace and quiet and the great nature, but still feel cared for and secure.

Restaurant We only ate here twice, but it was so perfect. Wood-fired grill, fresh fish, prawns from the stone oven. It doesn't get any better than this. And all at reasonable prices. Make sure you make a reservation. Lots of dishes for every taste.
