Holiday Inn Express Canandaigua - Finger Lakes

This hotel has gone down hill since the remodel upgrade. Requested room on the first floor as requested in our reservation. Told that they have no suites on the first floor. Only problem is we have always stayed in a suite on the first floor at this same property since we have a mobility problem. Then lights were out and the bed was lumpy and awful. Then they have a flyer that shows the breakfast and they were out of everything on the flyer accept the coffee. No forks, plates, no fruit of any type. No Cinnabon rolls totally out. The little cheese omelets were burnt and inedible. The room and table was dirty and we check out a day early. They didn’t care didn’t ask why we were leaving a day early. Seems to be new management. I am posting pictures to show.

Furniture in rooms. need updating

First room we had a person made a complaint because I came WTH my 2 year old making noise and being loud plus there was a stink bug in the room window curtains second room we had a bee inside the room by the window Pool was closed by the time we left they said it was open but wasn’t heated it was cold Breakfast was not that great we had potatoes hard coffee was a 1 out of ten we couldn’t get the stuff inside fridge cold quick it took a while to get cold

Fire alarm situation couldn’t be helped but the staff could have been much more informative. Someone could have kept us up to date during a long very cold wait. Also, there never seemed to be anyone at the front desk. They would only come out if they saw you on camera and it could take awhile.
