Zafiro Palmanova

A beautiful stay in sunny Mallorca! The hotel lives up to its 4 star rating with attractive decor and accommodating facilities. The room was a decent size for a family of three. The swimming area was definitely a lot of fun and well manned. The buffet restaurant staff were excellent in meeting our child’s allergy needs. They were always attentive and friendly. Jose’ Martinez was an exemplary member of the front of house staff as he was always charming and went above and beyond!

We’ve just returned from a 2-week stay at Zafiro Palmanova and can honestly say it was one of the best family holidays we’ve ever had. Upon arrival, we opted for a very reasonably priced upgrade to the Royal Terrace Suite from our original 1-bedroom suite – and we’re so glad we did! Room 2111 was outstanding. It came with a fully equipped kitchenette which was ideal for our family setup. Our 7-year-old son has coeliac disease, so being able to prepare his pasta, toasties, and snacks in a controlled environment made a huge difference though this wasn’t needed as the hotel done a fantastic job regarding his meals . We were also travelling with a 1-year-old, so having a fridge for milk, yoghurts, etc., was a big plus. The private terrace was exceptional – beautifully furnished, spotlessly clean, and the hot tub was a lovely bonus. Even better, it enjoyed full sun from mid morning right through to the evening. The housekeeping staff kept the room immaculate every single day. Without a doubt, it’s the best hotel room we’ve stayed in across all our trips to Majorca. The pools were a big hit with our kids. Our eldest loved the splash park and inflatable ball. The usual issue of sunbeds being “reserved” early in the morning was present, but we always managed to find a couple when needed. The swim-up bar added a lovely touch to the poolside atmosphere, and the entertainment staff and lifeguards were fantastic – so friendly and always happy to help. We were most concerned about the dining experience because of our son’s dietary needs. But the care and attention from the staff, especially Oscar the restaurant manager, was beyond anything we expected. On our first evening, Oscar personally walked us around the buffet, explaining what was safe and where there might be cross-contamination risks – even highlighting shared utensils. He then offered to have the kitchen prepare fresh gluten-free meals for our son each night, from pizzas and burgers to chips, nuggets, and pasta. This became our routine almost every evening, and Enrique stepped in with the same level of care when Oscar wasn’t there. Their understanding and commitment meant our son had zero issues during the entire trip – a huge relief for any parent in our situation. From front desk to housekeeping, restaurant staff to entertainment – every member of the Zafiro team was warm, professional, and genuinely happy to help. The hotel itself is stunning and the location is perfect. We will 10000% be returning to Zafiro Palmanova. For families – especially those dealing with food allergies or coeliac disease – this hotel is an absolute gem.

The hotel is straight to the point in a good location , close to the beach and to the lively area. I didn’t like how they didn’t clean the rooms every Wednesday and Sunday. Isabella on the reception was amazing, very helpful and tried her best to answer all our questions and recommended all the good places

My family and I have just returned from a 7-night stay at the Zafiro Palmanova. We booked a swim up room which I highly recommend. The room was well equipped; it’s great to have the small kitchen area with fridge, etc. The bedroom had a lovely big bed with clean mattress and sheets. The sofa in the living area doubles for a single bed with a single pull out bed underneath. I’d prefer a pull out sofa bed or just two single beds in place of the sofa. However, it wasn’t a problem. The room was cleaned thoroughly on a daily basis by housekeeping and towels regularly changed. We opted for all inclusive plus. The food was good but lacked variety at times. I noticed that certain foods were repeated often at lunch/dinner sittings. The hygiene in the dining room is good but not excellent. As with many self serve buffets, some guests are less considerate of hygiene e.g. touching the food with their hands instead of using the tongs provided. However, the service in the dining room is not excellent; drinks brought out quickly and the staff are really friendly and helpful. There’s a lovely bar with great cocktails. The evening entertainment was great for the children. There were daily activities for the children which were great and the staff facilitating the sessions are lovely! The main pool has a large bouncy inflatable bubble which the children loved! The swim up pool bar is great. The reception staff are friendly and really helpful. There’s always a member of staff available at the front desk to answer queries. There’s a convenience store attached to the hotel which was really useful. The hotel is a short transfer from the airport (about 20-mins with private transfer). The beach (which is a 5-10-minute walk from the hotel) was okay but certainly not as beautiful as other beaches in Mallorca. All in all, a lovely holiday!

OK hotel but nothing too nice or fancy, the lobbys interior and the whole hotels in general is very mid and looks way better in pictures than in real life. Cleanliness was ok, felt safe. The good thing about this hotel was that it was in a very strategic place, close to everything. Housekeeping was very sweet, the receptionists were helpful but not welcoming, they werent greeting the guests that stay there which i found weird. Overall i think for the price its ok but could be better. 7/10
