Le Magnolia

This is a lovely small hotel steps away from pretty much everything, including the Citadelle, port, bus and train station. My room was charming and spacious with two closets and a small balcony that overlooked a pedestrian cobblestone street with shopping, restaurants and cafes. The bathroom was also spacious and I loved the fine toiletries. The mattress was of excellent quality. I slept very well. Entrance to the hotel is through a pleasant garden/courtyard which has tables and chairs. I sat outside to write postcards. The breakfast was excellent with many choices. I was thrilled to have eggs because they are scarce and very expensive in the United States now due to a bird flu epidemic. I had some difficulty getting to Calvi and checking into the hotel on time. The young woman at the front desk was very kind and understanding. I am very grateful. I highly recommend Hotel Le Magnolia.
