Amazing
GGuest UserThe landlords ( husband & wife) are very friendly, helpful, nice & accommodating. The wife Ms Shujie Guo waited for us patiently to arrive at the air bnb before returning to their own home which is a short distance away. (NB: we did not get the message or e-mail for the main door number access code & she know that it has happened before. So she took the initiative to wait for us which we arrived at night at about 9 pm on that day). This air bnb house provided full cooking facilities including the ingredients & spices. The common area are very clean & tidy. The bedroom & bathroom are equally clean & tidy. There is a garden at the back of the house which is beautifully layout. The landlord lady Ms Jhujie Guo even went to the extent to alert my wife that there were northern lights & informed us to go to the open space to see. With our iPhone 14 pro max handphone, we managed to see the beautiful northern lights ( aurora). Unfortunately we were unable to capture the dancing lights as we do not have the camera stand. This is a bonus as we did not expect to see Northern lights in Calgary! We felt like we were living at our own home.
We would highly recommend those who are looking for accommodation in Calgary to stay at Brothers Li Homestay.
GGuest UserI will surely recommend this hotel. So clean and the complimentary breakfast exceed my expectation. We will be back on March and I will surely book on this hotel again. Thumbs up to all friendly staff.
GGuest UserNot our first time staying here -but we left with a sense of frustration today!
It began when the front desk couldn’t find our reservation - twice ! (despite a phone call 2 hours prior to check in). Had to take my driver’s licence and go “somewhere to talk to someone in the back” - then he came back (after 2 or so
minutes) and “magically” the reservation had been found. Unnerving for my identification to disappear from my sight. No explanation offered.
Frustrated again at check out when the desk clerk tried to charge us for something from the snack bar in our room - we had literally left our room 2 minutes before. Couldn’t tell us what item we had “consumed” (we hadn’t consumed anything - especially at those prices!) and then when asked how they could possibly know within 2 minutes (of us leaving our room) that an item had been consumed - they became very defensive and couldn’t actually answer the question of “how do you know what to charge us for” and the response was “it’s for the report at the end of the day - no one is saying you actually took anything”. Except that’s exactly what the desk clerk said the charge was going to be for - “an item from the snack bar for a total of $4.20”.
After challenging the charge we were told that no charge would be put through on the credit card.
Made to feel like we had “stolen” something when we asked for further clarification on the charge.
“No apologies or thank you for staying with us”.
Disappointing.
Side note - Service in the casino was great - including the restaurant.
GGuest UserStandard Holiday Hotel style is quite satisfactory to Cagali. It is not far from the city center. It is necessary to note that the Cagali MRT is not operating on Saturdays and Sundays. You can take uber to the city center.
GGuest UserI come to this hotel every year upon arriving in Calgary and before leaving and will continue to do so as long as the existing conditions remain the same.
You arrive to be checked in efficiently and in a friendly manner. Your room is big and both the bedroom and bathroom are immaculately clean, as well as tastefully decorated. The beds are big and super comfy. There is a coffee/drink machine, fridge and microwave and good wifi. The hotel has a pool and gym should you want to use either. Breakfast is also included. Breakfast could be slightly better, but you should be able to find something suitable for you. AND You get all of this for a bargain price! It’s very hard to beat!
PPaul JosephGreat price, great location, Pick up call was quick. The vehicle was well used, but driver was fantastic and helpful.
Desk staff, bar staff were top notch. The breakfast was decent and the staff we very attentive. Gym is 24hr and great cardio. Pool was nice after the gym., but unfortunately the hot tub jets were broken.
We will stay there again.
MMichelle BillingtonI always enjoy my stay at Deerfoot Inn & Casino. The purpose of my trip was to hang out with my sister and catch up on our lives. The deluxe queen room was spacious and welcoming. I found a stain on the top sheet when the cover topper fell away. Just looked like a coffee stain, but jeez?! We went down to the buffet for supper, and the prime rib and scalloped potatoes were delicious, as well as the other entries. After we ate, we sat in the lounge next to the restaurant. I loved the big, comfortable chairs we chose to sit on. When I got up to use the ladies' room, my hips were out of sorts for several steps because the chairs are sitting too low. May I suggest they update the furniture as I noticed other older guests having the same issue.
AAnonymous UserCheck in took a bit of a long time but the staff was very helpful. Highlight of this hotel is definitely the water park. The water slides are so much fun for the kids and even though there is no lifeguard, the pool is relatively safe for 7 years old and above taken into account the depth of the pool. Remember to bring your floats if your kiddos cannot swim independently yet
JJames Y. HuangGreat value for a short term stay near the YYC, with turn off from major road BarlowTrail NE. The front entrance is a bit confusing if approaching from the rear industrial area.
Staff were friendly and professional, usual hotel damage deposit and person staying in expectation.
The room was very spacious and clean, although a bit dated. AC was a bit louder than expected, but was able to sleep through. I didn't have time to use the amenities (pool and gym).
VV100StranFar from the best hotel, but more or less clean, the beds are comfortable. There are a lot of migrants, a strange contingent. Breakfast is good, there are waffles, omelettes, yogurt, etc. Basically, that's enough. There is own parking, one day it was difficult to find a space, other days it was free. Compared to other hotels in Calgary, the prices are still ok, although in our opinion, it should be cheaper
