This hotel has surpassed all of my expectations. From the moment I contacted the hotel to enquire about a booking the staff were so helpful. Particularly a lady named Silvia, she was so nice and helpful and probably the reason I booked this hotel in the first place. She made everything so simple and was incredibly friendly and even more so in real life when we arrived. We travelled here for my husband to do an Ironman race (the perfect hotel if your doing Ironman Barcelona) so I was on my own with a baby for a lot of the time. Every morning that I went down for breakfast with the baby, the chef Anas came out from where he was working to help me get a breakfast sorted for myself and my little girl. He is the nicest gentleman and so unbelievably helpful. This hotel is clean, modern and has a wonderful family vibe. But their real charm is the staff. They are what makes this place amazing. We will be back x

Great location. Bit of a trek from EasyJet drop off, but bus can’t get down quaint cobbled streets so to be expected, but easy to find on Google maps. Be aware of tourist tax to pay but not expensive. Also deposit €150 for a refundable deposit for a no smoking in the rooms policy. Refunded on checkout no problems. Had free upgrade to junior suite given which was nice. Can’t complain about the room at all! Modern, bright, clean. Comfy beds and pillows, really great air conditioning. Had slight issues with blocked drains for the shower overflowing but sorted very quickly by cleaners and maintenance man. Found all staff very friendly and accommodating. Bar and pool area looked lovely but we prefer to be out and about. Booked again for June as so many lovely restaurants we wanted to try, everywhere we had a meal was lovely apart from Nui Beach which was a real disappointment unfortunately so definitely won’t be back there! Went on the train to Girona which is beautiful and worth a city break in the future. The train was confusing, not many direct ones and not clear changes are needed but managed to work it out. All in all great base to explore the area and looking forward to returning!

I read good reviews , so I booked as a single traveller, for a week. I'm glad I did, because the hotel itself is nicely central to Calella town, and 5 minutes from the beach, so you get to explore everything together and easily. The hotel itself is small, but quite a lot of thought (and money) has gone into the interior design. The decor is modern and attractive, the lighting carefully modern and efficient (the corridors and public toilets respond when you enter or leave). The pool area is small but very pleasant, and includes a play area for toddlers, a nice touch. The helpful and pleasant staff make up for the only 2 drawbacks I found - a very small single lift which battled sometimes to accommodate its users; and a restaurant area that often resembled a cross between a cafeteria and a canteen. This was down to the coach groups, which clearly provide a lot of the Neptuno's trade. But allowing for that, which was not difficult, this is a great base from which to launch yourself at both Calella and further afield.

Calella Beach
We have visited this hotel several times now and as always found it to be very welcoming, very comfortable, in a great location & very good value for money. The facilities included are also very good. Every thing is so accessible, the Town ,the beach, the local buses, the tourist train, the train station & taxis all of which are reasonable, which makes it very easy to venture out & about if you wish to which we do & enjoy. We also never have a problem with the food as there is always something that we like whenever we visit the restaurant. We also noticed & chatted to several return guests from previous visits as well, which was nice as this speaks highly in itself of the hotel & staff. The staff in all areas of the hotel are extremely friendly, polite & helpful & help to make our stay very special. Those wanting an early morning coffee La Riera opposite the hotel opens at 6.00am and do a wonderful cafe con leche & it is also very friendly, or pack a travel kettle as I do. I often venture there when I am out for an early morning stroll to watch the beautiful sunrise down on the beach. We always visit for the Minerva Festival & my husbands birthday and it is very special to us. So much so that we have already booked for next year and cannot wait to return to our home from home, Many thanks again to everyone at the Amaika for yet another lovely holiday, cuidate y nos vemos pronto.

Calella Beach
Just back home from Calella holiday. Stayed in hotel 5 days with full board. Good sized clean room changed and cleared every day and reasonably friendly staff but catering experience is quite mixed. Not a best choice of dishes and no any liquid for lunch and dinner trying to force you to buy from them. Once came to lunch directly from walk with bottle of water staff take it off from me and offered to buy one from them. Pool always full of kids, very noisy, and by afternoon there is muddy water as they don't bother to go toilet. Pool also opening quite late and closing far too early at 8pm. Fortunately there is 5 minutes walk to beach. In average stay was ok but I don't think this hotel will be our choice in a future.

Calella Beach
We stayed here from 07/09/24 - 14/09/24. Had a great stay at Hotel Espanya. Was our first trip away on our own, without kids, for 21 years, and this hotel made it all the more special. The hotel itself, has a great location, close to the beach (3 minute walk), train station on a 5 minute walk, and just around the corner from the main shopping area. Great location for couples and those who want a more laid back break, no larger louts, or party animals at this location. The hotel itself, is a nice peaceful hotel, popular with both young and older guests. The room we had was very clean, but basic, consisting of twin beds, pushed together, table, bedside units, air con, bath and shower, and small balcony, tv and hair dryer. We were happy enough. The restaurant, dining area was large, with plenty to chose from. We chose half board, (breakfast and dinner), and there was always a great selection of fruit, salads, cereals, bakery (wonderful), cooked meals, always something different to choose from, juices, and tea and coffee, you can also choose from drinks at the bar, to go with your dinner. The bar had a great selection of drinks, and they always offered a special discount different cocktail every night, at a cost of 6 euros. You had the choice to sit inside, or in the beer garden. There was an Argentinian guy who comes and performs with a guitar and singing, every Saturday night. He has a great selection of music, and always gets the audience to participate with him, and has a karaoke screen available . Fantastic entertainment. A special mention to all the staff, who were so so friendly, including those who were always keeping the place clean. Rooms were cleaned every day, and towels always changed too. A special mention to the Barman, who's name I forgot. Anna, who seemed to do every job available , and was always there from morning to night, and Ariana, on reception, who was so friendly, and also the other reception staff. Also forgot to mention, you can get beach towels and parasol, for the beach, at no extra cost, from reception. They ask for a card number, for security, the first time you ask for the towels, but no cost taken. You can also rent sun loungers, and parasol for two, at a cost of 14 euros. They give you a ticket to give to the guy on the beach, that organised the loungers. He wasn't very pleasant, to be honest, even though we tried to be pleasant to him. Don't think he has anything to do with the hotel itself. Also the beach bar Xiri 9 opposite the hotel, was also a joy, great selection of food, and drinks and cocktails galore, to get refreshed on the warm day. All and all, a great holiday, at a great hotel. Would highly recommend this hotel, and will no doubt be back again. Thank you 30 Degrees Hotel Espanya
