Hotel Mar Blau

Beds was very comfortable. Cleaning staff were so nice. Gentleman on arrival to the buffet section was adorable. But have to make families aware of the fun police at the pool where there is not as much as a tennis ball or anything that resembles simple fun allowed!!

Everything is very good in this hotel: location, tidy rooms (but in some rooms were ants), service, tasty food. Exept one incident in hotels restaurant. During the dinner, I wanted to take a plate and put food, but when I lifted it up it was full of liquid and I spill it on my dress and hand, I thought it was water. After taking the other plate, I went to put food and felt a strange smell of bleach. My hand was stinking with a bleach and the black dress was damaged😭. The restaurant caretaker did not even want to talk about that, sent me to the reception. The girl there also didn't know what to say, because it never happened before. She just wrote down my room number and that's it. So be careful, it could be someones child.

On our last day in Mar Blau, it caters for mainly Spanish and a few Dutch, we were the only English, well I thought so until I met someone at breakfast. Reception speak reasonably good English, it's better than my Spanish, the hotel is clean and rooms are spacious, I didn't like the bathroom, but in all honesty that's a personal opinion, some hooks for towels would be useful. Food is good, though the restaurant reminds me a little of a 80s cafeteria. Staff are great and very on the ball The pool is a good size, with plenty of sunbeds, and parasols you attach to the sunbed for shade, excellent idea. No sunbed wars! It's a short walk to town and the beach, with a few bars in the area. All in all it was thoroughly enjoyable and I would hesitate to return. Stayed on the 6th floor.
