I recently had the unfortunate experience of staying at Piggy Hostel Calangute during an office trip, and I must say it was an absolute nightmare from start to finish. I feel compelled to share my negative review to warn others about the numerous issues we encountered during our stay. First and foremost, the staff at Piggy Hostel Calangute were incredibly arrogant and unprofessional. Their attitude towards us was dismissive and disrespectful. It was evident that they had no interest in providing a pleasant stay for their guests, let alone catering to our needs as a large group. To make matters worse, basic amenities were severely lacking. The tap water in our rooms was not running properly, leaving us struggling to even perform the most basic hygiene routines. It was highly inconvenient and unacceptable for a supposedly reputable hostel to have such water supply issues. The air conditioners in our rooms were malfunctioning, making it incredibly uncomfortable to stay indoors. Coupled with the absence of fans, our rooms became unbearably hot and stuffy, leaving us with no respite from the sweltering Goan weather. This lack of basic cooling facilities significantly impacted our ability to rest and recover after long days of work. One of the main attractions that drew us to Piggy Hostel Calangute was the promise of a pool, which turned out to be nothing more than a disappointment. The pool was out of order during our entire stay, denying us the opportunity to relax and unwind after a tiring day. This false advertising further highlighted the hostel's lack of maintenance and negligence towards its guests. The overall cleanliness of the hostel was abysmal. The toilets were filthy and poorly maintained, with unpleasant odors and unhygienic conditions. It was evident that proper cleaning and upkeep were not priorities for the management, which is utterly unacceptable for any accommodation establishment. Perhaps the most disappointing aspect of our stay was the lack of value for money. Given the exorbitant price we paid for our large group, we expected at least basic comfort and a reasonable standard of service. Instead, we were met with a litany of issues and a complete disregard for our satisfaction as paying customers. To add insult to injury, all 47 members of our office trip had similarly bitter experiences. It is disheartening to see that Piggy Hostel Calangute consistently fails to meet the expectations of its guests, especially considering the potential it had to be a great accommodation option in the area. In conclusion, I strongly advise against choosing Piggy Hostel Calangute for your stay. The rooms lacked cleanliness and tidiness, while the room services were quite disappointing. There were issues with the water supply in the rooms, and both the fans and AC were not functioning properly. Moreover, the management displayed an arrogant attitude. A nice hostel with lovely staff. Staff is very helpful, nice calm place, the only issue is the old wing the old wing is not that much good compared to new one. Night parties going on , nobody in the mood to sleep. If u r looking a nice dorm near calaungute than this is the better place.
