Pros: Great location, right next to the night market, making it super convenient. Cons: The hygiene really wasn't up to par. Upon entering, there was a strong musty odor. Though common in tropical climates, it was still quite off-putting. What was truly unacceptable was that our pillowcases were dirty. This is not the standard one would expect from a higher-end hotel. I noticed this immediately upon arrival, which led me to suspect the sheets likely hadn't been thoroughly cleaned either. Furthermore, the room was quite small. Overall: Despite these issues, there weren't many better options available. It's still regarded as one of Cairns' better hotels, boasting seemingly newer furnishings and decor than its competitors, so you just have to make do. For Chinese tourists visiting Australia, I'd suggest bringing your own disposable pillow and duvet covers for a slightly better experience.

The hotel is a good location walking distance to Bars and restaurants It is very dated and in need of a revamp old lifts We got checked in but was disappointed to Find out that the hotel was under construction and that there was no pool they did provide transport to another hotel but we just went to the public one Fresh towels were provided daily but the bath had not been cleaned or washed out The bathroom is small can’t fit two people in at the same time

Excellent hotel, 8 minutes walk from the pier, great location, good service at the counter, luggage storage before check-in and after check-out, simple and classy rooms, beautiful swimming pool although not used, breakfast above standard, coin-operated laundry room.

This place is great for families with kids, boasting a playground, a swimming pool, and a restaurant. Our children had an absolute blast! The room facilities were a bit cramped and basic, and transportation was limited to taxis. However, we were generally satisfied with our stay and would recommend it.

We stayed in the lovely and spacious executive king room, but unfortunately had to move to a deluxe king room with a balcony on the second night due to the executive room being fully booked. We were somewhat disappointed as the deluxe room felt older and less well-maintained, a noticeable downgrade. However, we appreciated the convenient second-floor area with complimentary coffee, books, and games, and the hotel's location was ideal; close to restaurants and shops yet peaceful.

The hotel was extremely customer friendly. We had booked an ocean view room and they initially did not put us in that. When we went to get it corrected, they not only put us in an oceanview room but also gave us free breakfast for two days. The staff was incredibly friendly. The location was super convenient.Overall was a fantastic stop.

Spent 4 nights at the Cairns Plaza and couldn’t have been happier. Good, clean room. Staff couldn’t have been more helpful and pleasant with it. Excellent location for getting around - 15 mins walk from the reef terminals and 3 mins walk to the bus to the botanical gardens. Very close to cafes/restaurants, the night market and shops. I knew beforehand there was no hotel restaurant but breakfast/meal boxes available to purchase. I would happily go back

View from the room looks really good. It is 1km walking distance to everything including bars restaurants ferry supermarket and public swimming pools. 1 dollar day pass bus is available and there is a stop behind the hotel. But if you do not want to walk for hundreds meters or 1km, the location is not good for you.

We arrived Early and the Staff Stowed our Luggage and Phoned us When the room was ready . we were in Cairns for medical appointments and the Cairns Harbourside is located close to the hospital the rooms are well lovely and clean and the beds are very comfortable .

The service was helpful and efficient particularly Paul. The bedroom 100 was an inner one with no window as such. But there was a window to a wall with 2 plants hanging down. It was a perfect place to sleep a bit like a cave in a way perfect just to sleep. As far as I could see there was only one elevator coming and going also to the roof bar. So there was a wait here. Stairs would have been preferred. The restaurant was fine too on the top floor with excellent views. Location excellent with close proximity to the lagoon for swimming and of course the esplanade.
