This hotel was exactly what we wanted! It was welcoming, friendly, efficient and clean. The rooms were plenty large and clean, and newly decorated. The breakfast was great - plenty of variety and choice, all great quality. We had dinner in the hotel for 3 nights. It was freshly cooked, tasty and reasonably priced. Stefan served us and made us very welcome. All staff were friendly and very competent. Its location was perfect for us. Easy from the port. The tram is very close for getting into Caen so you don’t need to drive. Close to the roads to visit the D-day beaches and other historic sites. We had no complaints and would return

My friend and I are traveling around France for a couple of weeks. We picked this hotel based on reviews and price. It was a good location to drive to Omaha Beach and the surrounding area. We each had a room with a king size bed, a very large bathroom with a wonderful shower and separate large tub. Free Coffee, tea and water provided in the room and a small refrigerator with snacks and drinks available at a modest price. Beds were very comfortable and room temp was great. Very quiet location and free parking. The best thing was Julia, the front desk staff person. Extraordinary service and assistance with everything we needed including ordering Thai food from a local restaurant because the restaurant was closed on Sunday night and Monday night, the two nights we were there. She deserves a GIANT Thank You and a Gold Star! I would definitely stay there again if I ever return to France.

As often happens in hotel room stays, I am not accurate at tossing Kleenex into inconveniently located trash bins. For this I was accused of leaving the room “very dirty” and staining the carpet, and a 50 euro charge was made against my credit card for room damage to “deep clean” the room. When I challenged this, I was sent a video that indeed showed the Kleenex tissue on the floor and a clothes hanger that hadn’t been put back. The video was absent any demonstration of damage or stains. I had declined maid service for the 3 night stay and my sense is that the maid was annoyed that I hadn’t used the trash bin against the wall under the desk, and that I was being punished for this.

The hotel is very comfortable and very comfortable. It's a manifest flight. The first night the hotel hosted a school group, forced to ask the calm by calling the reception at 22H children cried and ran into the corridors. At 5,50 euros a breakfast, you will find only frugality, no choice and low range products. The staff is very sympathetic but the experience is unacceptable. At the end of your stay you are offered a note to be settled with half of the already settled invoice ... Right next to Caen train station + coach station, the stairs aisle is narrow, everything else is good, breakfast is good, the guy at the front desk is very gentleman. Fortunately, after changing this one, Caen was remodeling the road, and it was a disaster to take the box and detour.

Hotel is not bad, French chain, quasi three stars, room is small, breakfast is ok. About 10 minutes from Kaoang Railway Station, we walk about 40 minutes. Because the city does not seem to be big, so walk to the World War II Memorial for about 40 minutes, when the city should be built in the subway, it looks a bit messy. There is a Chinese restaurant selling beef noodles nearby, which is quite authentic and the price is great.

Average hotel, clean and tidy but some strange decor in public areas and especially corridors. Room was good with very comfortable bed and clean bathroom. Tea and coffee facilities were ONE coffee, ONE teabag and ONE sugar. Bizarre. I had B&B but as I was part of a coach the hotel were asked in advance on both nights if we could have some food, on the first night just something quick like steak & chips, as some of us (me) had travelled 22 hours. 1st night (Fri) 9pm. Supervisor SUGGESTED steak and chips and we all agreed. Waitress and supervisor took orders from approx 20 people and then served 14. The rest of us were told that the kitchen ”should have closed much earlier” so there was no food (See Fawlty towers ”Waldorf Salad”) I was offered some free salted peanuts, which I took.... 2nd night (Sun, we had spent Sat at Le Mans 24h race). Arrived at 7.30pm and were told we had time to freshen up, so back down at 8pm to be told ”sorry, no food tonight”. (See Fawlty Towers ”Gourmet Night”. All was ”off”. Found a steakhouse called La Boucherie close by which was great. They got a good tip. As a place to crash it was great, but don't expect anything more than continental breakfast, which by the way was also great. Confused?

We arrived late (2330) and were greeted with a smile, which was so satisfying that we had booked a caring establishment. This was indeed true. Every member of staff met our, and we are sure would meet yours too if you book this hotel. Location is good, central for buses, shops (Especially for ladies), restaurants (some do not open on Sunday or Mondays) a supermarket, car parking. Nothing was any trouble.
