Just back from an enjoyable week's stay with my daughter. This was a last minute trip (my 9th visit to Norfolk Island) so our usual accommodation options were not available. However, we were very pleased indeed with our choice on this occasion. The communication before, and during, our visit was of the highest standard - special thank you to Jannica as well as the rest of the team. The accommodation was very well managed - clean, comfortable and well-located (could walk to town or the botanic gardens). The unit was very well equipped and furnished (quality linen, generous towel supply including beach towels, good kitchen equipment (coffee plunger and teapot) and even a picnic set and thermos. The location was quiet - and the outlook from our unit (and from the shared undercover back verandah) was lovely. We had Unit 11 which is in the rear block (units 9-12) - and this block has lovely valley views which the other unit blocks would not have. There was a community lounge area/transit lounge (although there is another transit lounge at their office for before or after needs). Books, boardgames and dvds available and comfortable chairs - a DVD player in the unit may have been useful though. There is a community help-yourself banana cage also but none available during our stay. There is also a shared laundry with washing machines - clothes lines available and airing racks in unit. Also excellent recycling station - very good to see the island and accommodations putting recycling as a priority now. We opted for a car hire organised by the accommodation - a discount is applied when using this method and it is seamless - car waiting for you at unit (transfer from airport by mini-bus included) and option of dropping it back to the office or leaving at airport. The complimentary half-day (3 hour) Baunti orientation tour was also much appreciated. Another very positive feature was the inclusion of free unlimited wi-fi. This was our first experience of having wi-fi included and it was very helpful on an island with no international roaming. The team also manage Ocean-Breeze Apartments and Whispering Pines. We had the pleasure of staying in a 2-Bedroom/2-Bathroom Whispering Pines cottage for our last night when our Qantas flight was delayed until the following day. The Daydreamer team organised this for us and we really appreciated their help. I would have no hesitation in staying at any one of their properties as they obviously have customer-satisfaction as their priority, and provide a top-notch experience. I would certainly highly recommend booking Daydreamer Apartments for your Norfolk Island stay. We hope to visit again in the not-too-distant future.
