We had two nights DB&B in the Burley Inn whilst we were meeting family locally. Our room at the front of the hotel (room 4) was of reasonable size, quite comfortable, with a recently refurbished en-suite bathroom. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean, as was the linen. Although overlooking the road, noise was minimal at night. Room value was I thought only average at £145 a night for a double en-suite. Choice at breakfast was quite limited, there was a choice of cereals and a cooked breakfast. The traditional English breakfast was fine, well cooked and nicely presented. Breakfast was served; there is no buffet where you can help yourself to cereals etc. Dinner was good quality pub grub, again well cooked and nicely presented. Dinner menu prices were middle of the road for a pub in this part of the world, mostly around £15.50. with deserts around £7. House wine by the glass was a bit expensive I thought at £8.60 for a 250mL glass of Cabernet Sauvignon, though it was very nice. Draft beers started at about £5 a pint. The staff were very friendly and really helpful.
