Set in such a beautiful tranquil place in the New Forest, Burley Manor exceeded our expectations! Its picturesque front garden with deers running free, to its amazing front entrance of a stunning log burning fire enriched with a beautiful aroma in the air, topped off with a very warm cosy feeling. Could it get any better?... to then be greeted on the front desk by a kind, smiley, happy and funny lady by the name of Marylyn just made us feel at home right away. Once to our room, where its location was just perfect and easy access we entered into a very cosy bright place. The bathroom was gorgeous, its shower was grand and so relaxing and the big sink such a nice touch. Not a bad thing to say about the room... apart from we found it difficult getting out of bed in the morning as it was too comfy as we sleep so well ๐. Burley Manors breakfast, lunch and dinner was all just amazing. Huge thank you to the chefs and kitchen staff for the brilliant food. Lastly the staff were all so lovely and friendly! Keep up the amazing work. We will definitely be back. Thank you so much
Having stayed here many many times pre pandemic we were so excited about returning. Check in was good and the room lovely but the service and food quality was abysmal. We sat in the garden - tried to order drinks at the bar and told it was table service only which is fine if someone took your order! Went into the bar and relied to order 2 drinks with a waitress who said she would have to come to our table for me to order - will give her her due she did follo me to our table! Waited 15 for the drinks. Then ordered our food A rib eye steak and fillet of sea bass with a prawn and clam chowder. This arrived after 10 minutes - the sea bass was completely different from the menu description- apparently we had been given the wrong specials menu so what else did my husband want. He said he would have the original offering as we had been travelling all day and were tired - this was then returned stone cold! My 8oz rib eye steak had at least 45% sinew and was inedible.when the staff came to clear the table I requested a manager - a young lad turned up who just said I see what you mean!! Nothing or no one else seemed to care so we went to bed extremely upset and at a cost of nearly ยฃ200 a night we really expected a more professional approach to customers- whilst I appreciate uni students need summer jobs but when there is no one at all supervising the result is dire for a business such as this. We even listened to 2 staff members discussing their uni accommodation etc etc when at least 8 tables were waiting to be served. Breakfast service was totally different- the staff clearly knew what they were doing and did si in an efficient, help, and more importantly, friendly way. Would recommend you go out of school/ uni holidays as no one else is around to ensure the job is done professionally.

We had our wedding at Rhinefield this weekend just gone and we could not have had a better experience. Annette, our wedding coordinator, was fantastic from the get go - she made the planning process so easy, and was always on hand to answer what we thought was the most stupid or small question. We were able to direct our vendors to Annette as the day approached to deal with logistics and so didnโt havenโt to worry about when the florist was arriving or what insurance the band had, etc. We both have busy work schedules (I in particular have very little free time in the week) and having someone you could rely on to get stuff done, with a smile, was fantastic. The venue itself is just stunning, and the whole set up for the wedding was beautiful. We arrived on Friday and stayed in the Heron Suite which had more than enough space for our makeup artists, photographer, etc. We had room service lunch and then dinner in the Conservatory restaurant that night, which was all delicious, just like our wedding meal. Our stuff was moved very smoothly to the beautiful Walker bridal suite during the day, and itโs just a shame that we stayed up so late in the hotel bar after the wedding that we didnโt wake up in time to enjoy it more! Optional touches for the wedding itself included fire bowls and marshmallows to toast, which went down a treat with our guests, and the fairy lighting in the Great Hall and Kings Room was beautiful. Throughout the weekend the service from the hotel was fantastic - we felt that we were treated like royalty the whole time, as did our guests. We couldnโt have wanted a better stay or wedding, and weโll be back next year for an anniversary treat!

The pub looks like a lovely old pub from the outside and the bar and restaurant area has been modernised to a good standard. The menu is a typical chain pub one but I canโt comment on the food quality as we didnโt eat there. There was a good selection of beers including some local ales. We were staying in one of the rooms. Parking was easy as thereโs lots of spaces behind the pub and you just register your car on arrival. When we arrived to check in, they couldnโt find our room key so we were give a drink on the house while we waited. The staff we met while we were there were friendly. The room was spacious with a comfortable king size bed. There was plenty of storage place for clothes. The bathroom was also large with a good size bath and a powerful shower. However, the room really needed modernising. The carpets and decor were very dated. The window is a very old wooden one and there was a definite draught through it. We could hear everything going on in the street below. It was especially noisy when they were setting up the market or the bin lorryโs were collecting. There werenโt any sockets next to the bed, only 3 in the room, one with the tv plugged into it. In the bathroom, the sink had some stains in it, the extractor was poor, the shower gel dispenser was empty and the bath plug didnโt seal properly. So the water slowly drained away while I was in the bath. Overall it was cheap and cheerful and ok for a couple of days but the rooms could really do with modernising.

Well, the service at the hotel was excellent too. The hotel staff were always very friendly and helpful, they were always willing to answer my questions and provide useful advice. Also, the breakfast provided by the hotel was very delicious, varied and had different choices every day. The service at the restaurant is also very good, and the staff is always very thoughtful and welcoming.
The only downside is that the hotel is slightly more expensive, but I think the price is still very reasonable given the location and quality of service of the hotel. In short, I really like this hotel and I would definitely choose to stay again if I travel to this city again.
